Cedar Grove Baptist Church Welcome to Cedar Grove—a warm, country-church family in the Snap community.

Since 1905, we've grown from a small mission-minded church into a vibrant, faith-filled family: “A Friend of the Family, A Family of Friends.”

This is a wonderful opportunity to serve our children and help them grow in God’s Word. Lessons are prepared for you, so all you need is a willing heart and a desire to help.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7 - "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

Deacon for the Week: Keith Wedgeworth

This week, Keith Wedgeworth is serving as our Deacon for the Week. In this role, he is on call to serve and support our church family throughout the week.

Our Deacon for the Week also leads a team of deacons who monitor the church building during all services, helping care for the safety and needs of our congregation.

Our deacons do so much that often goes unseen, and we are thankful for the way they faithfully serve Cedar Grove.

If Keith can serve your family this week, please contact him.

Mark your calendars for Kids’ Pop-Up Sunday on June 7!

Our kids will promote to their new Sunday School grade on this day as we align with the new school year. During Fellowship Gathering on May 31, we will have tables set up for a teacher/student/parent meet and greet. Be sure to stop by and meet your child’s new teacher on one of those Sundays.

Then, on June 7, we will celebrate with special “Pop-Up Goodies,” along with recognition and prayer for our students, teachers, leaders, and helpers.

We are thankful for the opportunity to encourage and pray over our Cedar Grove kids and those who faithfully serve them

The Nominating Committee will be meeting soon as we begin preparing for the next season of ministry at Cedar Grove.

As we look ahead, we ask each member to prayerfully seek God’s guidance on where He may be calling you to serve this upcoming year.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” — 1 Peter 4:10

If you are interested in teaching, helping, leading, or serving in any area of the church, please let one of the Nominating Committee members know:

Stacey Morris, Alan & Sondra McDaniel, Diane Phillips, Bobby Reed, Toni Barlow, Kyle & Nikki Ritter, or Tammy Coleman.

We are thankful for everyone who faithfully serves and helps make ministry possible at Cedar Grove!

Sunday’s sermon reminded us that genuine grace is not cheap grace. From Titus 2:11–14, we learned that God’s grace is unearned favor, given at Christ’s expense.

Grace brings salvation, trains us to turn from sin, teaches us to live for God in the present age, and keeps us waiting with hope for Jesus’ return. Grace is not only pardon for yesterday; it is strength for today. The same grace that saves us also sanctifies us.
