Today's Gospel has a strong connection to a passage we heard proclaimed during Lent: the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman. At the conclusion of that passage, the woman runs back to town to tell everyone about what Jesus has told her. As the townspeople begin to make their way out to the well to see Jesus, he tells the Twelve to "lift up [their] eyes, and see the fields are white for harvest." What were they looking at? The whitSt. Francise head coverings and clothing of the Samaritans.

It's a good reminder that often, the people we are supposed to speak the Word to are RIGHT in front of us.

Today, let's ask the Lord for the strength to proclaim his Word to our neighbors here within the boundaries of St. Francis.

St. Francis had a BIG week!
He went to a Cool Kingdom Party at VBS and took a picture with all the awesome station leaders!

Then, he went book shopping with Ms. Garcia! We hope he liked the selections!

Finally, he visited the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela with Fr. Kevin! WOW! He is well-traveled!
