Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 5th Annual Freedom of Religion Roundtable at Kennesaw State University. It was an outstanding evening!

Community leaders, faith representatives, students, and advocates came together for a thoughtful conversation on religious liberty, human dignity, and the role of peacemakers in working together across faiths and backgrounds to strengthen our communities.

A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Tami Pyfer, Chief Impact Officer for UNITE and Co-Creator of the Dignity Index, for her thoughtful and impactful message on fostering unity and human dignity in our communities.

We were also honored to hear from an outstanding panel of speakers:

• Imam Bashir Mundi, West Cobb Islamic Center
• Andrew Lewis, Founder of First Five Freedoms
• Tameka Bell, Director of Community Organizing at Ebenezer ACTS
• Buzz Brockway, Executive Vice President of Public Policy at the Georgia Center for Opportunity and former Georgia State Representative
• Hannah Clayson Smith, International Center for Law & Religion Studies and Religious Freedom Alliance Council

Thank you to our speakers, attendees, and partners for making it a meaningful evening!

"One summer day I stood alone in the quiet of the American War Memorial Cemetery of the Philippines. A spirit of reverence filled the warm tropical air. Situated among the carefully mowed grass, acre upon acre, were markers identifying men, mostly young, who in battle gave their lives. As I let my eyes pass name by name along the many colonnades of honor, tears came easily and without embarrassment. As my eyes filled with tears, my heart swelled with pride. I contemplated the high price of liberty and the costly sacrifice many had been called upon to bear."
Thomas S. Monson (16th Prophet and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints)

Trek is a multi-day youth experience where participants walk in the footsteps of early pioneers, building resilience, faith, and friendship. They pull handcarts, camp under the stars, play games, and grow through shared challenges and gospel-centered discussions—deepening their connection to Christ and learning they can do hard things through Him.
Bryan Jenkins (Acworth congregation) shared how his Trek experience four years ago strengthened his testimony in the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He is now serving in the Brazil Goiania Mission.

The Cartersville Stake held Seminary Graduation last Sunday, May 17.
Seminary is a four-year religious education program for youth. In seminary, teachers and students meet daily before school to study the scriptures, including the Bible (the Old Testament and the New Testament), the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price.
These students dedicated their mornings, developed habits of personal spiritual study, and sacrificed sleep daily to be able to understand and rely upon the teachings and Atonement of Jesus Christ.
Way to Go Graduates!
