GriefShare is a 13-week, faith-based grief recovery support group designed to help individuals navigate the journey of loss. Rooted in biblical principles, the program offers encouragement, understanding, and practical tools for healing. Each session includes a 30-minute video, a participant guide, and a small-group discussion, creating a supportive environment where individuals can share and grow.

GriefShare is a place where those who are grieving can find comfort, hope, and healing. GriefShare is for everyone who is grieving the death of a loved one. Tabernacle is proud to have faithful leaders in Mary Lou Grimmett, Jean Traylor, and Carol Walton who offer this program periodically throughout the year for both church members and the community. At Tabernacle Baptist Church, the SonShine Ministry serves as a caring connection point for church members who may not be able to attend regularly due to illness, hospitalization, recovery, or difficult circumstances. Many of these reside at-home with regular caregivers or in assisted living facilities in the community. Through prayer and encouragement, this ministry helps remind our church family that they are loved and remembered. The SonShine Ministry is made up of two teams:

- The Card Team – sending thoughtful cards and notes of encouragement
- The Call & Visit Team – connecting through phone calls, visits, and prayer

Anyone is welcome to join in and work with this caring ministry by contacting Mary Lou Grimmett or Jean Traylor.

Our Children's Ministry, serving babies through 5th grade, exists to help children know Jesus, grow in their faith, and experience the love of Christ in a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. Each week, children are encouraged through age-appropriate Bible teaching, worship, hands-on activities, and meaningful relationships with caring leaders who are passionate about helping kids build a strong foundation of faith. From our nursery and preschool areas to our elementary ministries, every space is designed to help children feel loved, valued, and excited to learn about God.

Our ministry is more than childcare — it is discipleship. We partner with families to help children grow spiritually both at church and at home. Whether kids are participating in Sunday School, Wednesday night activities, Vacation Bible School, camps, worship opportunities, or special events throughout the year, our goal is to point them to Jesus in everything we do. One of the greatest blessings of our ministry is the incredible team of volunteers who faithfully invest in the next generation. There are many opportunities for church members to serve and make an eternal impact in the lives of children and families.

We are always looking for volunteers to serve in:

Sunday School classes
Wednesday night programs
Extended Teaching Care (ETC)
Vacation Bible School
Special events and family activities
Kids' worship and music ministries

Whether you enjoy teaching Bible lessons, building relationships with families, rocking babies in the nursery, helping with crafts and games, or simply offering a welcoming smile, there is a place for you to serve. Many of our volunteers serve on rotating schedules, making it easy to faithfully invest in children while balancing other responsibilities.

Extended Teaching Care (ETC) is a wonderful opportunity for volunteers who have a heart for caring for our youngest children during worship services. ETC allows parents to fully participate in worship knowing their children are safe, loved, and cared for by trusted volunteers. At Tabernacle, we are passionate about helping kids discover that church is a place where they belong, are loved, and can grow in their relationship with Christ. We would love for your family to join us — and for you to consider serving alongside us as we continue building a foundation of faith that lasts a lifetime.
