WHO IS JESUS? — WEEK 3 RECAP & CHALLENGE
THE SINLESS SON OF GOD
Our Perfect Savior and Great High Priest
Hebrews 4:14–16
Yesterday, we continued our Who Is Jesus? series by looking at one of the most important truths of the Christian faith: Jesus Christ is fully God, fully man, and completely without sin!
Jesus experienced temptation, suffering, rejection, and weakness, yet He never sinned. He lived the perfect life we could never live, died the death we deserved, and rose again victorious over sin and death!
Because Jesus is our Great High Priest, we can approach God’s throne with confidence—not because we are good enough, but because HE IS!
THREE TRUTHS TO REMEMBER:
1. Jesus understands our struggles. He knows our weaknesses and faced temptation, yet remained without sin.
2. Jesus accomplished what we never could. Salvation is not earned through good works or religion. It is found through faith in Christ alone.
3. Jesus invites us to draw near. When we struggle, we don’t have to run from God. Through Christ, we can approach His throne of grace and find mercy and help.
THIS WEEK’S CHALLENGE:
Ask yourself these three questions:
Am I trusting in my own goodness or in the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ?
Is there a sin or struggle in my life that I need to bring before God in repentance?
Does the way I live each day reflect that Jesus is my Lord and Savior?
This week, I challenge everyone to read Hebrews 4:14–16 every day. Spend time in prayer, surrender an area of your life where you have been struggling, and encourage someone else with the hope we have in Jesus.
Church, remember this:
We are imperfect people who have been saved by a PERFECT SAVIOR!
Our hope is not in our ability to be perfect. Our hope is in the One who already is!
Let’s continue to GROW in God’s Word, LOVE one another, and SERVE Christ faithfully!
