VBS starts tonight!! Here's how you can contribute to our missions:

If you would like to participate in the daily missions, here are the targeted missions for each day of VBS. Please feel free to bring in what you have when you have it. For example, if you have school supplies already, then bring those tonight, and if you wish to shop for some NEW STUFFED ANIMALS, you can bring those later this week! All VBS donations will be collected by Thursday night!!

We are looking for: NEW STUFFED ANIMALS (these should be new), NEW & USED SCHOOL SUPPLIES (everything, including backpacks, used notebooks [remove the used pages], crayon boxes [even with a crayon missing], etc.), BOXES OF CEREAL (all kinds, fun kid cereals, and more healthy cereals, etc.), and finally HOUSEHOLD CLEANING SUPPLIES (all kinds).

We had prayers for our mission team at the church (1st picture) just before leaving for the annual HENDERSON MISSION TRIP, and now, praises that they arrived (2nd picture) in Frakes, KY. ready to work and connect with the missions laid out before them. We will continue to pray for safe travels, safe work, and beautiful connections. Stay tuned for more pictures and news from Kentucky!

COFFEE HOUR - 10am - 10:45am
Traditional at 10:30am in the sanctuary
Contemporary at 10:45am in the FLC

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL continues this weekend

NO Youth Group. Summer Group starts June 24, 6p-8p

We had a great first time with the PLARN looming session with some residents of Village Carmel . They had so much fun, so now we are coming back every 2 weeks, for an hour on Thursdays. ♥ Carmel United Methodist Church

The Clothes You Wear

Sunday I talked about Joshua the High Priest having his filthy clothing replaced by a cleaned and beautiful garments. I also used the illustration of a boy becomes a dragon—who ‘wears’ dragon scales—and is stripped of those scales in order to be restored to a boy. In fact, I could have done the whole sermon around all the clothing imagery in scripture...

A big THANK YOU to Carmel United Methodist Church for the amazing Soup's On meal yesterday, May 31st. Our guests loved the fried chicken and delicious sides...but the brownie with ice cream really made it a special day!

Thanks also to Dr. Larry, our Host from Roberts Park United Methodist Church, who exceeded his duties by helping with a medical situation. We are also grateful for our dedicated volunteers—Donna, Christina, Landon, Tate, and Josiah—for their dedication in managing the pantry and providing support wherever it is needed.

The postponed races for the Carmel Marathon are scheduled to take place on Sunday. We are no longer a designated parking lot for the race because of worship times on Sunday and church activities, so there should be plenty of parking.
