TAKE A NEXT STEP IN FOLLOWING JESUS
BY HELPING OTHERS FOLLOW JESUS

In Matthew 28:19, Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” This was the last command Jesus gave before returning to heaven!

The fact is, if Jesus has saved you, He has also sent you on a mission to multiply His Kingdom! So, how do you disciple the people in your life? Here are 5 important tips:
1. Be present, the embodiment of the character of Jesus.
2. Be loving, displaying the heart of Jesus for everyone.
3. Be bold, ready to speak the name of Jesus at every opportunity.
4. Be consistent, never wavering in your faith, speech, and conduct.
5. Be directive, pointing people to their next step with Jesus.

In Genesis 9, after the worldwide flood from which God only saved Noah, his family, and the creatures on the ark, God made a covenant (promise) that such a destructive flood would never happen again. In verses 13-15, God said:

"I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant..."

God "remembering" His covenant is an intentional, active remembrance––not as though these events could simply slip from His mind. We take communion to "remember" the work of Christ in the same intentional, active way. But how many times have we turned our focus to the storms and let ourselves get bogged down by the negatives in life, actually forgetting the joy of His fulfilled promises?

God's eternal faithfulness may slip from our minds, but the signs of it are always there to find again. HE is always there! That is a far more valuable reality than the fact that we still have rainy days sometimes. Praise the Lord who keeps His promises!
