Sunday, June 14 at 10:30 in person and on Zoom

"The Poetry of Flourishing"
We will explore the relationship between poetry and the human spirit. Remembering past members' poetry and sharing current member's poems, this service will be one of celebrating psalms of personal thoughts and moment of the bard in all of us.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the joy, resilience, and beauty of LGBTQIA+ communities.

In "The Q***r Beatitudes," Tim Atkins (also known as Sister Sweet Suffering Tea of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence) offers this blessing:

"Blessed are we, the whole q***r family,
for love is our birthright, and joy is our inheritance."

May we continue building a world where every person can live, love, and flourish as their full self. 🌈

Join the Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship community in June as we explore Flourishing Together as our monthly theme. We are currently relying on the talents of our members while we await our new minister’s arrival in August. Unitarian Universalists and this Fellowship have a long tradition of lay-led congregations. We have strong, experienced lay leaders who are planning inspirational Sunday Services held at 10:30 in person or on Zoom at https://us02web.us/j/85091012889. There are activities for children, and our nursery is staffed. All gender bathrooms are available. Join us Wednesday evenings at 7:00 on Zoom for a midweek boost of connection, song, and reflection. All are welcome. Bring your authentic self!

Sunday, June 7 Our Annual Flower Communion at 10:30 in person and on Zoom.

Join us for our annual Flower Communion, a cherished annual service of many Unitarian churches.

The Flower Communion, sometimes referred to as Flower Celebration or Flower Festival, is an annual ritual over 100 years old that celebrates beauty, human uniqueness, diversity, and community.

This Sunday , everyone brings a flower, from your garden, the roadside or somewhere else. Each person places a flower on the altar or in a shared vases. The congregation blesses the flowers, and they’re redistributed by the youth. Each person brings home a different flower than the one they brought.
