Walking Together: Freedom in the Truth

What a powerful morning in Cape Girardeau!

More than 600 men gathered this morning at the Show Me Center for Southeast Missouri State University’s “Walk Together” Men’s Prayer Breakfast—a morning filled with fellowship, prayer, encouragement, music, and a reminder that none of us are meant to walk through life alone.

We were blessed to have three tables of men from Centenary Methodist Church, all filled and ready to represent our church and be part of this incredible gathering of men from across our community.

One of the highlights of the morning was hearing from our very own Rhett Pierce, who shared a powerful message titled “Freedom in the Truth.”

Rhett reminded us that sometimes God uses the difficult places in our lives to humble us, get our attention, and draw us back to Him. In those moments, we are reminded that we don't have to carry everything by ourselves. God gives us community—people who will pray with us, encourage us, stand beside us, and help hold us up when we are struggling to stand on our own.

There is freedom when we stop pretending we have it all together and allow God and His people to walk with us.

What a fitting message for a morning called “Walk Together.” Our faith was never meant to be lived alone. Sometimes we are called to hold someone else up, and sometimes we need someone to hold us up.

We are so proud of Rhett Pierce for sharing his testimony and pointing men toward the truth, humility, community, and ultimately toward Christ.

We don't have to walk alone.
We are called to walk together. ❤️
