Congregation Sar Shalom

Congregation Sar Shalom We are a family friendly and Torah positive Messianic Congregation in East Texas that recognizes Yeshua (Jesus) as the promised Messiah of Israel.

In-Person Worship and Liturgical Service - Saturdays starting at 10:30 am. followed by a Fellowship Meal. Our services are a blend of worship songs and liturgical prayers, following the order:
-Songs of Praise
-Shacarit Prayer service
-Torah Service (including readings from the Torah, Haftarah, and Apostolic Scriptures)
-A drash (teaching) based on the entire Scriptures
-Reflective worship songs /

private prayer time (with prayer from the elders as requested)
-Closing liturgical prayers

After services we share a blessing over the bread and wine that symbolize the joy and life that G-d gives to us. The bread is broken and shared among all. The remainder of the day is devoted to fellowship – a shared meal (called an “Oneg”, meaning a delight) and various activities where we can encourage one another in our walk of faith. To note, the food we partake of is considered kosher (fit). We follow the biblical guidelines and as much as we can use heckshered (labeled as kosher) ingredients .
