ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS – PASTOR Bill Ivy - TUESDAY – JUNE 2, 2026
When Barabas brought Paul to Antioch, he taught the church for a year the things concerning Christ and His first advent.

And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch (Acts 11:26).

How do I know the Apostle taught them about Christ and His coming? Because the church at Antioch, after hearing Paul’s teachings were Called Christians. For the first time the title of Christians was applied to those that were in the New Testament church. They were not Paulites, or Barnabites, or any other identifying name – just Christians. They were identified in their worship, beliefs and by their lives as Christians.

Lord help me, and the wonderful assembly that the LORD Jesus has allowed me to teach over the last 25 years to be identified in the right way. Not by any “…ites” or “…mites” but by being called Christians. Oh, that being Christlike would be our influence as a church.

ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS – PASTOR Bill Ivy - MONDAY – JUNE 1, 2026
Enthusiasm – an intense and eager enjoyment and interest. For us as Christian’s; It is the energy to be desirous and excited to be everything God has given you the ability and desire to do. An enthusiasm to please, to serve and be a part of a local church, supporting, praying, and doing whatever you can - to be a blessing to others.

The psalmist said it like this; “I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness (Psalms 84:10).” The ‘lowliest’ appointment at the place of God’s worship should be done with enthusiasm.

I am thankful that God has called me as a Pastor to keep the door to our local assembly. The Door is Christ the Word.

Whatever you can do in your local place of worship, do it with joy and enthusiasm. Remember, the Prophet Samuel was the door keeper in the House of the Lord as a young man (1 Samuel 3:15).

I want to do whatever God has allowed me to do with enthusiasm or not do it at all. I want to sing, clap my hands, pray, amen the Word and to preach with joy and happiness - I want to be a blessing to those I worship with, those of like precious faith.

Brother Branham, while dedicated Brother Greens church, made the following statement to the people that had come to be part of that local church.

QUOTE: An now that, Brother Green, God has sent him in here and opened us up a church of like precious Faith that we believe in, we ought to be very grateful to God, and attend every service, take every place that we can. And if we’re asked to call on, to pray, to seek, to do, let’s be soldiers right at the…just anxious to do it.

ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS – PASTOR Bill Ivy - FRIDAY – MAY 29, 2026
Influence – The meaning of the English word is the ability to have an effect on something or someone. Influences that we are around us will affect our character, maturity level, and can have power over our behavior.

Things influence us; television, music and social media have a great influence today. It has become a driving force in our culture and how we feel and act. Our human senses influence us positively or negatively, what we see, hear, and how we feel.

A person has the capacity to have an influence on someone else. We have heard it said, he or she has a good influence on my children or a bad one. The Prophet (William Branham) to this generation preached a sermon titled, “ONE MAN’S INFULENCE OVER ANOTHER.” It has always been a great help to me in understanding the POWER of influence, a power that others can have over me, or the power I can have over others – for the good or bad!

I often wonder; as a Christian pastor, what kind of an influence do I have over those I have been called to shepherd? It is constantly on my mind, because I realize the power of this Word “influence.”

How do I use this power, not only in Church but at home, with my family and in the community where I live?

What about you? You are also an influence whether you want to be or not. You are to me, and everyone that sees you, hears you and knows you.

1 Cor 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. 24 Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.

To seek another’s wealth in this scripture is to seek the good or wellbeing of others. Use your influence wisely; it has power that will affect others for the good or bad.

ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS – PASTOR Bill Ivy - THURSDAY – MAY 28, 2026
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” - Galatians 6:9. The Apostle is speaking about sowing and reaping; bad seeds will produce a bad harvest, and the good will produce that which is planted - more of the same.

It seems in planting seasons the bad seeds come to maturity quickly, while the good ones seem to take forever to produce what was intended for good. This applies to our Christian works as believers; your prayers for wayward children, your efforts to do something that you know God has called you do and many others good things.

However, do not ever forget – God is in control of all things and if you refuse the temptation to be weary in well doing, in due season you will reap. Do not give over to the weakness of unbelief. You can accomplish the purpose of God’s plan for you.

ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS - Pastor Bill Ivy - TUESDAY - MAY 26, 2026
I am still rejoicing in our Annual Memorial Weekend Meetings and Missions Conference. What a blessing it was to be with saints from West Africa in our church services and with Saints in the continent of Africa at the same time.

The saints at Living Word Tabernacle were able to share these wonderful services with others that could not be with us physically, and probably will never be able to come to this country to do so. We normally do not have services translated into another language while in progress. However, for those in Africa it is a normal thing during their services with English and French being spoken in West Africa and other French speaking areas.

It was a sacrifice for us, but a pleasant and joyful one, knowing we were able to worship with Saints of "like precious faith" in Africa. We appreciated the local brothers and those from West Africa that preached the Word to us during this service. And especially Bro Jean Kalenga a pastor In Southern Louisiana USA for translating every sermon into French during these services.

We were blessed during these special services, hearing the Word preached in our own language. We were also blessed by sharing these services with other people and churches in West Africa in their native tongue. When we all meet for that great Convention in the air, we will sing, shout, and communicate with one another in the same language.

We are thankful an honored to be a blessing to others, and by that we are blessed greatly. We have been taught; "Eternal life is living for others." The apostle Paul said it like this; Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others (Philippians 2:4).
