ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS – PASTOR Bill Ivy - THURSDAY – SEPTEMBER 3, 2026
I have happily served the LORD Jesus most of my life and I am so grateful for the heavenly call to do so. There is no better way. However, this world I live in today is so different from the one I grew up in, from 1950 until now. I could list so many reasons this is true. The world is falling apart; it has become so evil that a prophet to the final age (Brother William Branham) said over 60 years ago “it has become Satan’s Eden.” We live in a time when evil has become good and good has become evil. And it seems to be that way even among the many religious folks.

Sin has become acceptable and things that previously were forbidden are now popular. I see the headlines, the trouble in the nations, the weather patterns and destructions, earthquakes in many places, with wars and rumors of them. I see this in the earth that was once a beautiful Garden of Eden before sin entered it?

The judgment of this old world is sure; God keeps His Word. I am not rejoicing in the coming judgement to this earth and those that live for this present world. However, the scriptures will not fail.

Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal… 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

How is that an encouraging thought? For those that can except it, according to a promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2 Peter 3:13).

“This world is not my home, I’m just a passing through, My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue; The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door, And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.”

ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS – PASTOR Bill Ivy - WEDNESDAY – SEPTEMBER 2, 2026
The Bible instructs us; “the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary.” That is hard for us mortals to comprehend. As I grow older, the more I faint and grow weary physically and mentally. I am glad I serve a God who doesn’t grow old, nor does He have these defects, and has remained the same forever.

Our human flesh is weak, not one of us is exempt, even the young which the Bible identify young men by their strength, and the elderly lacking the same. However, Isaiah the prophet said; “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.” - Isaiah 40:30.

We all have our weakness of the flesh, from which comes pain, discouragement and even temptation to do things that do not please our Creator.

Praise be to God, there is strength given even to us that faint and grow weary – “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31

Waiting on the LORD, trusting completely in Him is our strength. When you ask in prayer, believe your prayer and then wait. Waiting on God is perhaps the greatest challenge we have when we call ourselves “believers.”

I am praying the LORD bless our service tonight (Wednesday) in a special way. Even if you are weak, God can give you strength as you listen and wait on the Word preached to give you strength.

ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS – PASTOR Bill Ivy - TUESDAY – SEPTEMBER 1, 2026
When we really realize how big, and how great God is, then we should realize how small and insignificant we are. Who can do what God has already done, how many worlds have you created?

Isa 40:12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? 13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?

When we recognize God is sovereign in all things, all sufficient and all powerful, then we can see our own abilities and our pride of accomplishment as nothing! We are little, God is great! He is so great that when He came to redeem His creation, He humbled Himself to be a man like us in Jesus Christ (Philippians 2:8).

Isa 40:7-8 …the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

For the Christian, our greatness is found in our littleness. Don’t try to be big to gain approval from the world, you just lose it from God. The Prophet Isaiah went on to say, “He that sets on the circle of the earth, sees its inhabitants as grasshoppers.”

It is in seeing God’s greatness and our littleness we can find our satisfaction, our peace and safety.

ENCOURAGING THOUGHTS – PASTOR Bill Ivy - MONDAY – AUGUST 31, 2026
The Bride of Christ will be a super church, but not what the world calls super. We are humble, loving, servants, willing to give all for Christ and one another. Placing our life our hopes completely in God’s hand. We have been redeemed and changed completely.

The first Church, in the book of Acts was a super Church. The end-time Bride-Church is the same, as we come to the Headstone, a super Church. We will be like Him, in His image to unite with Him, as one body. We will be the very manifestation of the Word of the living God. A mere church experience or the denominational leadership of men can never produce this.

Many try to produce this as Cain did in the beginning – without the atonement. They try to produce something greater, eye-catching, beautiful, and scientific. God still requires Blood, the life of one that is worthy (Revelation 5:1-7).

This true Church-Bride will be a Holy Ghost people with that Token life. Not just one person or a few special people, but a multimember Bride-Church made up of ministerial gifted man along with the whole congregation young and old, typed as a gifted body in First Corinthians 12. They are placed in that Body - by the display of the literal life of Christ living in and through them - the very manifestation of the Word of the living God.

This was the subject Sunday morning at LWT, titled, “What Does This Church Major In?” all services archived at our church website.
