Sunday Worship & Communion 🎶⛪🍇
Jesus offers a vision for community that does not avoid conflict, but moves through it with honesty, courage, and care.
In Matthew 18, reconciliation is not about pretending harm has not occurred. It is about choosing relationship deeply enough to tell the truth, listen carefully, and seek restoration.
As we begin our “Beloved, Build” theme, we remember that strong communities are not those without conflict, but those committed to practicing grace when conflict comes.

Message: When We Choose Each Other
Text: Matthew 18: 15–20

Take the First Step 👣 - Midweek Message
This morning, as I was walking to my vehicle, a community member offered a simple word for the day: “Be sure to spread kindness. Let’s do our part to make this world a better place.”
Those words have stayed with me as I’ve moved through this day.
Making the world a better place can sound like an enormous undertaking. Sometimes, though, it begins much closer to home—in how we speak to one another, listen to one another, care for one another, and choose one another…consider one of the most important things we are called to build: relationships. In Matthew, Jesus offers a vision of community that does not avoid conflict but moves through it with honesty, courage, and care.
The question is not whether conflict will come.
The question is who we will choose to be when it arrives…

Sunday Morning in Worship⛪🎶
Jesus tells the disciples that the path of discipleship will involve self-giving love, courage, and the willingness to let go of fear-driven ways of living.
In a world shaped by self-protection and division, the Gospel calls people toward a deeper way of life rooted in compassion, justice, authenticity, and sacrificial love. Pentecost invites us to practice bold love by choosing courage over fear and community over isolation.

Text: Matthew 16: 21-28

Release It 🙌 - Midweek Message
As we approach the final Sunday of August, I find myself thinking about what we carry with us from one season into the next—and what faith sometimes asks us to release… Jesus invites us to consider what we may need to relinquish in order to live more fully and faithfully. Perhaps it is fear. Perhaps it is an assumption we have carried for too long. Perhaps it is our need to be right, our attachment to comfort, our dependence upon the approval of others, or a definition of success that leaves little room for grace… In a culture that often tells us that life is found by gaining more—more achievement, more influence, more security, more recognition—Jesus offers another way…

Pride Sunday Morning in Worship⛪🎶
God created everything and called it good!
In abundant diversity, God’s likeness is found in ALL of us.
We reject all messages that belittle, marginalize, or degrade any member of our world.
And so in faithfulness to God and one another, we proclaim that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
If Pride is a celebration, let us celebrate the dignity and worth of every life.
If Pride is resistance, let us stand together against hate and build a just world.

Message: Healing the World
Text: Leviticus 19:33-34 & Isaiah 58:12

Learning to Make Room 🏩 - Midweek Message
Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors. That has been a familiar mantra to all of us since our church joined the LGBTQ+ Reconciling Movement some 29 years ago… There is a difference between having room and making room. Having room can be accidental. There happens to be an empty chair, an opening in the conversation, or space at the table. Making room, however, is intentional. It requires us to notice who is present, who is missing, who has been welcomed,
and who may still be wondering whether there is a place for them...
