VBS Decorating Donations & Borrowed Items Needed! 🚧🏕️☀️

We're getting ready to transform our church for Vacation Bible School, and we're looking for a few items to help bring our decorations to life!
If you have any of the larger items that we could borrow for VBS, we would be so grateful. If you'd like to purchase and donate an item from the list, we would greatly appreciate that as well!

Items Needed:
1 Camping tent
2 Pop-up canopy tents
3–4 Christmas trees
6 Inflatable tire swim tubes
Traffic cones
Cardboard boxes
4 Red rectangular tablecloths
6 Foil fringe backdrops
Caution tape
10 Green pool noodles
Small green or turf rug
Travel brochures (pick them up while you're traveling!)
1 Children's-size picnic table

On July 6, we'll have the opportunity to serve families staying at the Ronald McDonald House, and we invite you to join us.

When we prepare and share a meal, we're doing more than providing food. We're offering kindness to families facing difficult days, gentleness to those carrying heavy burdens, and love that reminds people they are not alone.

The fruits of the Spirit aren't meant to stay on a page. They come to life when we serve others with joyful hearts and willing hands.

As we gather on July 6, let's be guided by love, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness as we care for families who need encouragement and support.

Together, we can make a meal and a moment matter. Signups are available at the church, or please contact Hailey Fry or Michelle Roach to let them know you are able to help.

Messi Church was a hit tonight!🫟 We tried different foods from the four countries being hosted in the Kansas City area for World Cup, we got messy (especially with paint & slime!) and we made 70 snack bags for Cameron Nursing Center and Rice Socks for kittens at the Cameron Animal Shelter. Big thanks to Thrivent Action Teams for providing our materials and supplies for the service projects and Beth Fry for the tote bags for everybody!

S.O.S: Don't forget to shop for your meal packing items!

Help us turn compassion into action and make a difference, one meal at a time.

As we work toward our goal of packing 100 meals, we're reminded that service is one way the fruits of the Spirit come to life. Every meal packed is an act of kindness, goodness, and love that nourishes both body and soul.

Join us on Monday for Messi Church! We will now only be offering ONE SESSION from 5:30-7:30 PM.

All are welcome. Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly for dinner. There will be stations for the kids (plan to get messy!!) and service projects benefitting the local animal shelter and nursing home. Can't wait to see you there!
