The summer music program at Center Church will feature Max Treier on Sunday, June 21. Mr Treier will be playing a Medley he arranged especially for the service, showcasing his expertise on the euphonium. Hymns to be included will be “Just a Closer Walk With Thee and When The Saints Go Marching In.”
Max is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he was a member of the famous marching band. At the time, it was an all male band.
After a teaching stint at Reynoldsburg, he became the band director at Cambridge High School, retiring from that position after 30 years. His band excelled year after year, probably because of his philosophy that music should be fun!
Mr. Treier currently is an active performer with the Worthington Civic Band.
Talented pianist Barb George will be accompanying Max. Barb is a member of Center UMC where she accompanies the church choir and often plays for the Sunday worship service.
All are welcome to attend services which
begin at 9 AM, at Center Church, 5 miles east of Cambridge on Rt. 22. ,
