Center United Methodist Church will feature the voice of Joice Hupp on Sunday, Sept 6, at 9::00 A.M.

Joice will sing the famous hymn, “He”.
The song, with lyrics by Richard Mullan and music by Jack Richard’s, focuses on the boundless forgiveness of God.

Joice has sung in many choirs, and currently is a participating member of the Center choir.

Center Church is located on Rt 22, 4 miles east of Cambridge, 11026 Cadiz Rd.

A Call to Prayer for Nepal and Tibet

Our hearts are with the people of Nepal and Tibet following the catastrophic flash floods that struck the Himalayan border region on August 26. Numerous lives have been lost, many residents and travelers remain missing and entire communities have suffered the loss of homes, livelihoods and vital infrastructure.

I invite all churches across the Ohio Episcopal Area to pray for those who grieve, those awaiting news of their loved ones and all who have been displaced. May God strengthen rescue workers and relief partners, protect vulnerable communities from further danger and provide the resources needed for recovery and rebuilding.

As one body in Christ, let us accompany the people of Nepal and Tibet with prayer, compassion and generous solidarity. Churches and individuals wishing to support relief and recovery efforts are encouraged to give through United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) online at bit.ly/umcoridr.

May this tragedy also renew our commitment to care for God’s creation, pursue climate justice and stand with communities most vulnerable to environmental disasters.

Lord, have mercy. Bring comfort, protection, healing, and hope.

PRAY WITH US

Father, King of Creation, call Your rebellious elements back to order. For those who are lost, search relentlessly and bring them home. For those who will rescue, grant courage and strength. For those who have lost everything, richly provide. To those who grieve, be near with comfort. To those who will rebuild, give fortitude, endurance, and hope. For Your people, a light in darkness, open doors for bold love and shine Your light over the wreckage. Amen.

Let us pray for Nepal. May God protect those still in danger, comfort grieving families, strengthen survivors, and guide rescuers searching for the missing.

Lord, have mercy on Nepal. 🙏🇳🇵

Center United Methodist church will host the Center on Faith First sister churches; 1st United Methodist Church and Faith United Methodist Church at a combined service Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 11:00 A.M.

Special music will be presented by Bob Smith, singing “He Touched Me.”

Service will be conducted by Rev. Tina Siroki.

Everyone is welcome. Center United Methodist Church is located at 11026 Cadiz Rd,
4 miles east of Cambridge.
