Pax Pres supports a local nonprofit organization called HOPE. HOPE provides short-term aid to families in need by helping pay some of their past-due utility bills, rent, or even car repairs. HOPE also has a program called the Circles Program. The Circles Program pairs hardworking local families with community mentors to help them achieve long-term goals such as career growth and financial stability.

Every Tuesday, these families and mentors meet to put in the hard work, and they start with a community dinner. By preparing meals, Pastor Robbie and the youth students were able to take a huge load off HOPE and the Circles mentors, allowing them to focus on helping the families in our community.

Wow! We thank God for for Maureen’s 30 years of dedication as Music Director. She has served our church with her leadership, talents, time, and care. 💛 Yesterday we celebrated her, God’s work in Ashley’s life as she was baptized, and the end of year Sunday School party. Sweet time gathering as a church family!

The Asheville mission team served a family with 5 daughters this past week…plus a few animals (swipe to see one little cutie)! Steve Brown shared, “We learned that Samaritans Purse as an organization is most concerned with the spiritual condition of those it serves, not just the building process. As construction volunteers, we were the hands, feet and mouth of Jesus to each homeowner and their family members. Talking, ministering, and praying were integral during the entire week. We worked incredibly hard and left it all in Asheville”. We are grateful this team said yes to the Lord’s calling! Let’s continue to lift this family up in prayer.
