Look at these THICK chunks of ice. This was the result of the effort & strength of some of our dedicated OFH family (young, older, and in between)! Good evening OFH Family!

Thank you all for your patience in waiting to hear about our service plans for tomorrow. After cancelling the service last week to keep us safe during the snow and ice storm, we were really hoping that we would be able to meet in person. For the past couple of days, that looked less and less possible due to the ice buildup we still had on major portions of our parking lot.

But thanks to the hard work of several of our men this afternoon, we were able to clear away the vast majority of the ice that was keeping us from being able to utilize our parking lot. We expect the rest of the patches that remain will get melted from the salt we laid down, and cleared away tomorrow morning by some of our men.

As such, we are going to be doing a late start in-person service at 2 PM tomorrow. That will give us the maximum amount of time to attend to any ice patches that remain, and to make sure we have time to get lunch ahead of service. This will also serve to have us at church during the warmest hours of the day.

We hope to see you tomorrow and have the opportunity to worship the Lord together in the building. If you are able to join us in person tomorrow, please make the effort to drop off as many passengers in your vehicle as possible at the door. This will greatly improve the safety for all of us in the parking lot.

I would like to extend very warm thanks to our men who braved the cold for hours and gave a tremendous effort so we would all have the opportunity to gather. Great job, men!

Sunday Service Cancelled 1/25/2026

We have all been watching the upcoming winter storm for the past several days, considering the impact it will make on our weekend and beyond. At this time, we are quite confident that the characteristics of the storm will bring heavy amounts of snow across our region through Saturday evening and into Sunday morning. At some point between Sunday morning and early afternoon, we will be having a wintry mix that, when combined with the freezing air temperatures, is expected to result in significant ice accumulation. All of this amounts to a highly dangerous travel situation for all of us.

As such, we are cancelling our Sunday service this week to ensure the safety and preparedness of us all.
