As our series on famous fathers in the Bible draws to a close, we take a look at one patriarch that we don't pay much attention to: Zebedee, the father of the apostles James and John. Not much is written about him, but we can still learn something from the story that is there. What can Zebedee teach us about endurance and changing plans? Most Christians are familiar with Job as a suffering servant, but today we look at a different aspect of his personality. Job was a very dedicated man of God, to the point of performing priestly duties for his family. How can we see a model for what a parent should be today from Job's actions many generations ago? What example of faith do you set for your family?

Today we go deep into the Old Testament to look at the relationship between Joseph and his family. The family was fractured because of favoritism, among other issues. Despite this messed-up family dynamic, God was able to perfectly redeem the situation. How do we view favoritism among our Christian brothers and sisters? How can you let God work with your broken relationships?

Abraham is willing to comply, even though he doesn't fully understand why God is asking him for such an enormous sacrifice. How does our faith look in comparison?
