Ascension Thursday is this week!

This Thursday, May 14th, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, a Holy Day of Obligation.

Mass Times:
9:00 a.m. — St. James
12:00 p.m. — St. Joseph
5:00 p.m. — Immaculate Conception

Following the 5:00 p.m. Mass at ICC, all are invited to stay for a potluck supper in honor of Father Joseph’s graduation from UMO with his master’s degree! 🎓

Come celebrate this beautiful feast day, share a meal, and help us congratulate Father Joseph as a parish family. Please bring a dish to share if you are able!

Happy Mother’s Day! 🌷

Today we give thanks for all mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, spiritual mothers, and all women who reflect the love, tenderness, patience, and strength of Our Blessed Mother.

As Catholics, we look to Mary as the perfect example of a mother’s love — faithful, prayerful, gentle, courageous, and always leading us closer to her Son. May her intercession bring comfort to mothers who are grieving, hope to mothers who are struggling, joy to mothers celebrating today, and peace to all who find this day difficult.

Blessed Mother, pray for all mothers and families in our parish community. 💙

As the weather gets warmer and summer gets closer, we are so excited to celebrate a beautiful year of Faith Formation! ☀️

There will be no Faith Formation class this weekend as we celebrate all of our wonderful mothers. 💐 We are so grateful for the love, faith, and dedication of the moms, grandmothers, godmothers, and mother figures in our parish family!

Then, next Sunday, our Faith Formation families will gather for our End of Year Party as we celebrate all that the children have learned and experienced this year. It has been such a joy to watch them grow in faith, friendship, and love for the Lord.

We will also take time to thank our amazing catechists and volunteers who have given so generously of their time, energy, and hearts this year. Faith Formation would not be possible without them!

All parishioners are welcome to stop by after Mass, celebrate with us, and enjoy some time together as a parish family before summer begins. There may even be a sweet treat involved… 🍦😉

🏴‍☠️ VBS 2026: The Great Treasure Hunt is coming! 🏴‍☠️

We are getting so excited for this year’s Vacation Bible School, happening July 13–16, and we would love to have your kids join us for a fun, faith-filled week!

Throughout the week, kids will enjoy games, crafts, music, and Bible stories as we explore God’s creation and discover that we are His greatest treasure. It’s always such a joyful and meaningful time for our parish, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone!

Congratulations, Father Joseph! 🎓

Please join us next Thursday, May 14th, for a potluck supper in honor of Father Joseph’s graduation from UMO with his master’s degree! We will gather at Immaculate Conception Parish Hall directly after the 5:00 p.m. Mass.

Thursday, May 14th is also Ascension Thursday, a Holy Day of Obligation. All are invited to attend Mass as we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord.

Ascension Thursday Mass Times:

12:00 p.m. — St. Joseph
5:00 p.m. — Immaculate Conception

A heartfelt thank you to the Daughters of Isabella for hosting such a lovely reception after Mass this past Saturday at St. Joseph’s in Eastport!

It was a joy to come together as a parish family to honor our incredible Eastport music ministry—your dedication truly lifts our hearts in worship each week. 🎶

Thank you as well to everyone who helped make the reception so special, and to all who came out to celebrate and show their support. Your presence made the day even more meaningful!

We are so blessed by the generosity, talent, and community here at our parish.

Ascension Thursday is coming up in two weeks — a beautiful feast where we celebrate Jesus ascending into Heaven and opening the way for us to follow Him.
🕊️ This is a Holy Day of Obligation, meaning we are called to attend Mass, just like on Sundays. It’s a chance to pause, gather as a parish family, and celebrate this powerful moment in our faith.
