This Wasn’t in my Plans 🙏🏽

Yesterday, Apostle Eric reminded us through Acts 16:6–10 that God’s interruptions are often divine direction. What feels like a closed door, a delay, or an unexpected change of plans may actually be God protecting His purpose and redirecting us toward where He wants us to go.

✨ God will interrupt your plan to protect His purpose.
✨ A “no” from God is still God speaking.
✨ When God blocks the route, don’t abandon the assignment.
✨ God’s interruption may be somebody else’s answer.
Just because it wasn’t part of your plan doesn’t mean it isn’t part of His. Trust the interruption. Trust the redirection. Trust the One who sees what you can’t. 🤍
What if the interruption you’re frustrated by is actually the direction you prayed for?

An invite is never wasted. 🤍

You never know what someone is carrying, what they’ve been praying for, or how badly they may need a place to belong.

So invite them.
Invite the friend who’s been distant.
Invite the coworker who’s searching.
Invite the family member who needs encouragement.
Invite the person who said they’d never step foot in church again.

You may never know what your invitation means to them—but God does 🙏🏽

Don’t underestimate the power of saying, “Come to church with me.”

There’s always room for one more. 🪑🤍

📖 FROM INTERPRETATION TO APPLICATION

Last night at Bible Study, Apostle Eric taught us the S.C.R.I.P.T. Method—a simple way to slow down, study Scripture in context, and learn how to study the Word for ourselves.

S — Slow Down
Don’t rush. Read the text carefully.

C — Context
Study what comes before and after. Don’t isolate the text.

R — Repeat
Look for repeated words, themes, patterns, contrasts, promises, and more.

I — Investigate
Ask: Who wrote it? Why was it written? What was happening?

P — Principle
Identify the timeless biblical truth.

T — Transformation
Ask: What should change in my beliefs, behaviors, priorities, and relationships because of what I’ve read?

Because studying the Word isn’t just about interpretation—it’s about application and transformation. 🙌🏽

DROP THE DISTRACTIONS. 🧱

There will always be something trying to pull your attention away from what God has called you to build. But not every invitation deserves a response, and not every distraction deserves your attention.

In today’s message, Apostle Eric reminded us through Nehemiah 6:1–4:

1️⃣ Discern what deserves your attention.
2️⃣ Drop the weight before the weight drops you.
3️⃣ Know what you’re building so you know what to ignore.
4️⃣ Stay on the wall until the work is finished.

Don’t come down from the wall for distractions that were never assigned to you. Stay focused. Stay faithful. Finish what God gave you to build. 🙌🏽
