Biblical obedience requires crucifying the flesh and surrendering our own thoughts, feelings, desires, and understanding to God. Abraham modeled this when he was willing to sacrifice Isaac; not because he wanted to, but because he loved and trusted God more than even the promise God had given him. As Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches, we are called to trust the Lord rather than lean on our own understanding.
Faith and love are proven through obedience. When we truly know our King, serving Him becomes an honor, even when it requires humility, sacrifice, or being misunderstood by the world. Galatians 5:24-25 reminds us that those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh and are called to keep in step with the Spirit. God calls each of us to this selfless obedience, where blessing follows sacrifice and true freedom is found through submission to Him.

Walls are going up!
Did you walk through our future home on Sunday? Did you pray for the people who will meet God there? Did you write scripture one the walls? Did you sit in reverence of God?

God's promises and visions are often given in a moment, and might be fulfilled over a lifetime.

Abraham received a promise from God, yet years passed before he saw the promise come to fruition. In the space between God's word and God's fulfillment, faith is tested, patience is formed, and dependence on Him deepens.

When the vision outlasts your patience:
• Trust the Vision Giver.
• Bring your frustrations honestly to God.
• Distinguish between God's vision and your timeline.
• Remember that patience is not passive…it is active faith.

The time in between can feel long, but it is never wasted. Often, it is in those waiting seasons that God does His deepest work in us.
Don't lose heart. God is faithful to complete it.

Starting this Sunday, June 7, we're moving to one service at 10:00 AM!
If you show up at 9:00, you'll get bonus worship and prayer before service with our volunteers! If you show up at 11:00, congratulations, you've volunteered for cleanup duty. 😄
And if you miss it altogether, no worries! You can always catch the livestream and worship with us online.

When we look back on our lives, what cairns will we leave behind for those coming after us?

A cairn is a marker along the journey, a testimony that points to God's faithfulness and helps others find their way.
Will there be cairns of devotion to God's Word, fellowship, prayer, and the breaking of bread? Will there be memorials of a community united in heart, mind, purpose, and mission? Will there be legacies of faith in Jesus that help others navigate a challenging world?

These cairns are our testimonies to remind ourselves and others. They are landmarks of God's work in and through us. They stand as reminders of His goodness.
May our lives leave behind a trail of cairns, pointing people to Christ and serving as living proof of a loving God.
