Dwelling Place Church

Dwelling Place Church DPC is a church plant located in the heart of Pender County. We gather on Sundays at 10:30 AM! This ministry is led by Pastors Tommy & Ashton Vincek

Dwelling Place Church is a church plant that launched in Burgaw March of 2022. We started out meeting on Sunday evenings at Gateway Community Church. In 2023 the Lord opened the door for us to have our own space to worship where we now meet on Sunday mornings. This ministry is led by founding Pastors Tommy & Ashton Vincek, who are locals of Pender County. Our mission to promote life-change through

Christ will be done through this vision God has given us. From the beginning the vision of Dwelling Place has been clear and can summed up in three "E"s: encounter, equip, and evangelize. We want to provide a place where anyone can first and foremost encounter God's presence, as well as His people. As we meet together we will equip believers to live Christian lives and do the work of ministry. We will evangelize the lost as a church and as individuals, reaching out to our local community and beyond. We'd love for you to become a part of the community of believers that God is building here in Burgaw.

It’s family time!

Tomorrow we’ll get a firsthand experience of what kid’s church is like at DPC as we’re bringing KID’S CHURCH TO BIG CHURCH. We’ve spent the last few months implementing new curriculum, recruiting new volunteers, and planning to make our kid’s ministry better than ever before! We believe kid’s church isn’t just childcare, it’s intentional discipleship!

We can’t wait to worship with our little disciples. 😊

After our service together we will also share a meal and take time to just hang out with our church OHANA! 🌺

Starting off the week in God’s presence ✅

We have lots of love for our sweet kiddos! 💙

May the Lord protect them, fulfill His purposes for them, and cause them to succeed during this school year ahead. ✏️📓🚍

Next Sunday is our family Sunday where we are bringing kid’s church to big church with food to follow.

AND another way we can impact kids around the world is through the ministry of Operation Christmas Child. Please see Mrs. Tina Lewis if you’d like to be involved.

A few weeks ago, Pastor Tommy shared a message called “That They All May Be One” from John 17:20–23.

Jesus prayed that His people would be ONE— not because we would agree on everything, but because our unity would be a witness to the world.

But unity doesn’t happen by accident. We have to contend for it.

What an honor to be able to fellowship with each other this week. Kindgom Impact Ministries of Burgaw pointed us to Jesus during worship and Pastor Sherry Coombs reminded us to let our lights shine! These aren’t the days to be flickering, but burning bright!

May all of our areas church shine brighter than ever before and reach more people than ever before!

Thursday did conclude this series of services as the weather for Friday looks unfavorable.

Let’s continue to pray for one another and encourage one another as we labor in the harvest fields of Pender County! 🌾

It’s a new month and there’s a lot happening to get connected with here at DPC. We have a newsletter going home with our kiddos tomorrow and our events calendar can be found at the welcome desk.

Fun fact: 8 is the number of new beginnings! So as we enter the 8th month of the year, it’s a great time to get plugged in and believe for God to do a new work in your life.

One more thing :)

Greet & Eat is tomorrow after church for anyone that’s new to DPC. If you’re new, this is for you! A light lunch is provided. We can’t wait to share our story and get to hear yours.
