Day 3 of Camp Refuge. What a beautiful time in the Lord. Children are truly a blessing from Him and we are so grateful we were given this time to spend with them. Thank you to everyone who brought their kiddos and those who donated to make it a spectacular experience for them. God is so good to us.

A.W. Tozer — Popular Christianity killed the Reformers, jailed the Quakers and drove John Wesley into the streets. When it comes to religion, the crowds are always wrong.

True Christianity has never been safe to the religious crowd. The prophets were rejected, Jesus was crucified, the apostles were persecuted, and revivalists were often opposed by the very systems that claimed to represent God. Religion without the Spirit loves control, comfort, and reputation, but the fire of God will always disturb dead formality. Jesus warned that men would honor God with their lips while their hearts were far from Him (Matthew 15:8), and Paul spoke of those who have a form of godliness but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5). The crowd may celebrate tradition, but revival comes through those who are willing to obey God even when popular religion calls them extreme.

Growth begins where pride ends.

One of the most beautiful signs of spiritual maturity is having the humility to say, “I need to work on that.” God can shape a heart that stays teachable. But when we hide behind “that’s just how I am,” we can end up resisting the very transformation He wants to do in us.

Jesus didn’t call us to stay the same. He called us to be renewed, refined, and transformed day by day. Real faith isn’t about pretending we have no flaws, it’s about being honest enough to surrender them to God.

A soft heart is fertile ground for growth. 🙏🏻
