Let’s have an honest conversation—first to the Church, and then to those outside it.
Too often, we see people using Scripture to evade personal responsibility, pass judgment, or justify toxic patterns. But the Word of God actually demands the exact opposite: personal accountability.
📖 Proverbs 28:13: "Whoever conceals their sins will not prosper, but those who confess and renounce them will find mercy."
We have to stop blaming the Devil or "the system" for choices we make. True faith requires us to look in the mirror, take responsibility, and repent.
🚨To the Believers: Stop Judging the World
Apostle Paul draws a razor-sharp boundary regarding accountability in 1 Corinthians 5:12:
“What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?"
Those Outside: The Church has no jurisdiction to police the morals of non-believers. Scripture says God will judge them.
Those Inside: Our responsibility is internal. We are called to hold one another accountable in love to maintain the spiritual purity of the house of God.
🛑 To the Critics Outside: The Spiritual Boundary
It is common to see non-believers post negative opinions, critiques, or judgments about the Church and the Bible. But biblically speaking, those critiques hold no spiritual weight. Why? Because you cannot evaluate a spiritual book with a purely secular mind.
Apostle Paul explains this spiritual barrier clearly:
📖 1 Corinthians 2:14: "The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit."
Here is the reality of the "Natural" Man:
1 The Barrier: A person without the Holy Spirit relies solely on human intellect and worldly perspectives.
2 The Problem: It’s not a lack of intelligence; it’s a lack of spiritual eyesight. Spiritual truths can only be spiritually discerned.
3 The Result: To the world, the Gospel looks like foolishness. As 1 Corinthians 1:18 says: "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
🎯 The Bottom Line:
Unbelievers have authority in civil matters and earthly laws. But when it comes to the interpretation of holy, divine Scripture, they lack the spiritual jurisdiction and regenerated faith to be the arbiters of truth. Their negative opinions are ineffective because they are trying to judge a realm they do not possess the Spirit to see.
Let the Church look inward, clean its own house, and walk in true accountability. And let the world recognize that you cannot fully critique the King’s truth until you know the King. 🙌🏽🔥
