Today 10-28-2026
1 Corinthians 14:40 NASB "But all things must be done properly and in an orderly way."

We can put the cart before the horse but be prepared for trouble! Today's verse teaches us that things must be done properly and in order! No sooner did I finish the project, when I notice that I forgot a key part. I had to go back and take it all apart and follow the directions and put things in their proper order. Maybe you've been guilty of it too, rushing through a project only to find out we went too fast and forgot a key part. It can happen in any area of our life, work, family, church life, - if we don't keep things in order, we will eventually find out that things will go wrong. When we put Christ first and keep Him there in our life, we will have a better order of our life. I'm not saying we won't have trouble but we will have the Way to endure it! peace, tom

Today 10-27-2026
John 14:2 NASB "In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you."

There were so many rooms! Today's verse should bring us comfort, for He is preparing a place for us! As I looked at the plans for the new house, I noticed that there were many more rooms than we had ever built before. I asked the homeowner, why so many rooms?! His reply was that he and his wife were planning to have many children and he want to prepare a room for each of them. Take a moment and think, that as we do this thing called life, Jesus is preparing our room for us in Heaven. When it's time to leave this earth, we have a place to go that is being built by Jesus! What a wonderful thought, that the Lord of all, cares about us, and is taking care of things when we go to heaven. Don't worry about what it will be like, just know that Jesus is thinking of you today as He builds! peace, tom

Today 10-26-2026
Job 11:18 NASB "Then you would trust, because there is hope; And you would look around and rest securely."

Whew, I finally felt secure and safe! Today's verse speaks of having hope and feeling secure! Deep in the building that was on fire, I found myself turned around. With the heavy smoke, I had lost my way. My thoughts began to take over, what if I can't find my way out, what it the building collapses around me, what if this and what if that! It's easy to get into a panic mode when things go south. I had to calm myself down and look for my options. Far in the distance, I seen a light and heard noises. I began to slowly move towards the light and sure enough, I found other firefighters and we all got out together. In life, days may become dark, even scary, but if we hold on to the hope found in Jesus Christ, and follow the Light, we will find rest in Him. peace, tom
