Think of a kindness you’ve never forgotten. Someone made time to listen, brought a meal, or remembered to ask how you were really doing. They may have gone home thinking they’d done very little. But you still remember. Hebrews 6:10 gives us an even deeper reassurance: God will not forget the love shown to Him through care for His people. What we might call “just helping” can be a way of saying, “I love You, Lord.”

Year after year Hannah went up to the house of the Lord at Shiloh with her husband, and year after year she came home without the child she longed for. Her rival Peninnah made sure she never forgot it. One year she couldn’t take it anymore. She went to the tabernacle, wept, and prayed so hard that only her lips moved (1 Samuel 1:6-10).
Eli, the old priest sitting by the doorpost, saw a woman swaying with her mouth moving and no words coming out, and he jumped to the obvious conclusion. He told her to sober up and put away her w**e (1 Samuel 1:13-14).
Hannah’s reply is one of the most honest lines in the Bible: “I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking w**e or b**r; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord.” Eli blessed her, and then comes the detail worth noticing. Nothing had changed yet. She was still childless. But she ate something, went her way, and her face was no longer downcast (1 Samuel 1:15-18).
The child came the next year. She named him Samuel, and he grew up to be the prophet who anointed David (1 Samuel 1:20).
That is today’s verse lived out. Hannah cast her anxiety on God before she had her answer, and the weight lifted anyway. The peace came first. The baby came later.

Have you ever felt overlooked? You keep showing up, carrying your burdens, but nobody notices. Hagar, a slave, pregnant, mistreated, and running through the desert, knew that feeling. Then God found her by a spring, called her by name, and asked where she was headed. She named Him “You are the God who sees me.”
That same God sees you. He sees your efforts, your worries, and your prayers. He knows your name and where you’re headed.
So, when you feel unseen, remember Hagar. God noticed her in a desert. He notices you right where you are.
