Sabaidee world,

We warmly invite you, your family, and friends to join us next Saturday, September 12, 2026, for a fun-filled day as we come together for a special fundraiser to help rebuild our front fountain, where our beloved Phra Mae Thorani sits. This fountain holds a special place in our hearts and is also where we gather each year for our Loy Krathong ceremony. There will be delicious food and drinks for sale, along with live entertainment featuring our very own local talents! Menu will be posted closer to the event date, so please check back for updates! We hope you can come out, enjoy some good food, listen to some great music, and spend time together as a community while supporting a meaningful cause. Every bit of support truly means a lot to us.

Please help us share this post with your family and friends. We hope to see you all there! Come hungry, bring your family, and let’s make it a wonderful day together!

As always, have a blessed one! 🙏🙏🙏

We were so honored to be able to host the monks for their “Ou Bo Sot”! Thank you to everyone who joined us today.

Sabaidee world,

Just a reminder about the Boun Khao Phansa ceremony this weekend.

This evening, we will have Vien Tien and also the Candle Parade to just start the ceremony. Candles will be available for you to bousa. It will be $30 for each candle.

Please join us July 25-26, 2026 as we will have a ceremony for Boun Khao Phansa (Beginning of Buddhist Lent).

Here is a little summary of what Boun Khao Phansa means:

Boun Khao Phansa is the Beginning of Buddhist Lent, an important Buddhist festival celebrated by Theravada Buddhists.

Boun Khao Phansa marks the start of the three-month rainy season retreat, during which Buddhist monks remain primarily at their monasteries to focus on meditation, study, and spiritual discipline. The tradition began during the rainy season to avoid traveling and unintentionally harming crops, insects, and other living beings.

The festival is a time to:

Make merit by offering food, candles, robes, and other necessities to monks.

Observe Buddhist teachings more closely through meditation, generosity, and ethical conduct.

Reflect on personal behavior and strengthen their commitment to kindness, compassion, and self-discipline.

Some people choose to give up habits such as drinking alcohol or smoking during the three-month period as a form of spiritual practice.

Boun Khao Phansa emphasizes renewal, mindfulness, and dedication to the Buddhist path, encouraging both monks and followers to deepen their faith and cultivate wisdom and compassion. The retreat concludes three months later with Boun Ok Phansa, which marks the end of Buddhist Lent.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the event.

As always have a blessed one 🙏 !

The final results are in!

We are pleased to congratulate our newly elected President, Mr. Khamsone Phoumylay. We are honored to have you once again serve our temple and community in this important role. We look forward to your leadership and dedication in the years ahead.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to both presidential candidates for their willingness to serve and for their commitment to our temple. Each candidate brought valuable qualities and a genuine desire to support our congregation, and we are grateful for their participation.

Finally, we would like to thank all members of our congregation who took the time to vote and make their voices heard. Your involvement and support help strengthen our community and ensure a bright future for our temple.

Congratulations again to President Khamsone Phoumylay, and thank you to everyone who participated in this important process.
