From Sunday's message, The First Gospel, Mark S2E4...Found to Pursue

We all want Jesus to meet us where we are.

We don't always want to follow Him somewhere new.

In Mark 3, Jesus called 12 ordinary people out of the crowd and closer to Himself. The crowd got the miracles. The disciples got Jesus.

At some point we have to move from wanting what He can do...to wanting Him.

Your face, Lord, I will seek.

Hearts don’t harden overnight.
They shrivel slowly.

A little bitterness.
A little offense.
A little criticism.
A little religion without compassion.

In Mark 3, Jesus healed a man’s shriveled hand…but exposed a room full of shriveled hearts.

The scary part?
The broken man stretched out his hand and got healed.
The religious people hardened their hearts and walked away plotting murder.

Don’t let someone with a shriveled heart pull you away from the heart of Jesus.

Stretch it out to Him.
He can still heal hardened hearts.
