The response to the needs in Franklin County due to the catastrophic flooding has been incredible. Thank you to everyone who has donated supplies, food, clothing, etc. What we are hearing from community leaders and relief agencies is that immediate needs of victims have largely been met through these generous donations. If you see a post asking for specific things, by all means provide it if you can. But largely what is needed now is a way to ensure long term recovery and future unmet needs and the best way to do that is for people, organizations, and corporations to donate money to local non-profits. There are several legitimate organizations who have relief funds established. Donations to any of these will meet future needs of our neighbors. Below are links:

VOLUNTEERS ARE STILL NEEDED! Show up in Laurel or Metamora or other flood-affected areas ready to work. People are still trying to remove water from their homes and businesses, removing damaged furniture and belongings, trying to save the belongings that can be saved, and cleaning up water damage. It's exhausting and emotionally crushing. Let's keep supporting our friends throughout this recovery work! The community is serving food to flood victims and volunteers. It's such a blessing to be part of this important work.

Members of Creekside Church were happy to provide the deserts and serve the Sunday dinner meal, (provided by Hollerin For Sweets), at The Sap Bucket shop in Metamora, for residents and volunteers.
