Pastor Gwen Di**le
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to the late Bishop Luther and Shepherd Mother Georgia Di**le. At an early age her father saw a gift in his daughter and prayed the prayer of faith, anointed her hands and without formal training she began to play the piano. Elder Di**le played the organ for her father until she left for college in Richmond, Virginia University where she rece
ived her B.A. Then she returned to New York and attended one of the best Colleges in Education (Bank Street College of Education). Bishop Luther Di**le appointed her as the Administrator of The Pentecostal House of Prayer. Pastor Di**le slipped away to Nashville, TN after a marriage and was lead by the Lord to begin her Radio career. She worked at WVOL 1470 AM /WQQK 92Q FM Radio Stations as a Gospel Announcer. As her career in Radio progressed she was asked by Dr. Bobby Jones to work with him on his Gospel Explosions and the Bobby Jones Show on BET Network. She counts this as a privilege that will never be forgotten. She was able to travel with the Show and learned so much about the Gospel Industry. Pastor Di**le also worked with the Stellar Awards Show when they came to Nashville at the Grand O’Apry. During the stay in Nashville Gwen Di**le asked the Lord for a 24 hour Gospel Station in Nashville and the request was granted by the Lord. The city of Nashville joined her in prayer for this adventure. Well it happened and when WNSG 1240 AM (24/7) opened they asked Gwen Di**le to help launch the Radio Station. What an adventure and the Lord answered her prayers but she had to leave the FM station. It wasn’t a hard choice because the Lord granted her and the city of Nashville’s request. She left and she didn’t look back. Gwen Di**le joined 2 churches while her stay in Nashville, TN. The first was Seay Hubbard United Methodist Church and stayed there for 8 years. Seay-Hubbard UMC shared so much love and she will never ever forget this Church. Leaving New York was a hard thing to do but the Lord had Christians waiting for her during her time of separation from her family and her church family. Then in the late 90’s she joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church where Bishop Joseph Walker, III is still the Pastor and Chief Overseer. Gwen Di**le spoke with Bishop Walker about her calling and she was ordained as a Minister before she arrived back home December 16, 2003 three months before returning to New York due to her Mother's illness. Bishop Di**le was always praying for his daughter to come back home and she did. Bishop Di**le also ordained his daughter as an Elder before he made his transition. April 2009, Elder Gwen Di**le was installed as the Pastor of The Pentecostal House of Prayer located at 203 Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. She declares that this is the Best Church this side of heaven. Her mother Georgia Di**le before she made her transition was right by her side leading the church as they continue the Legacy. Pastor Di**le favorite scripture in the Bible is Psalm 133:1 that says, Behold, How good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Pastor Di**le made her transition in April 2020 but her legacy continues!
