Pastor’s Care Ministry Presents: Voices of Her Story ✨

On March 21st, we had an amazing time celebrating women of the past, present, and future. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in making this day so special.

A heartfelt thank you to our host, the PCM team, and all who contributed. Through powerful storytelling, we reflected on the lives and impact of women like Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, and Jesse Jackson, and how their legacy uplifted and positioned Black women throughout history.

Today not only fed our bodies, but it truly filled our spirits and nourished our souls. 🙏💜

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”

✨ 83rd Church Anniversary ✨
Topic: If You Build It, They Will Come

As we celebrate 83 years of God’s faithfulness, we give thanks for His mighty hand that has covered, guided, and sustained our church through every season. From generation to generation, God has proven Himself faithful.

During our anniversary service, the message reminded us that God is calling His people back to the work of building—not for ourselves, but for Him.

The word emphasized three powerful truths:
• Building for God
• Obedience to His Word
• Openness to His Word

“Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says the Lord.
— Haggai 1:8

Even when the work feels small or delayed, God reminds us not to despise the beginning:

“Who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? … Yet now be strong.”
— Haggai 2:3–4

Like the people in Ezra’s time, we rejoice as the foundation continues to be laid, knowing that God is present in the process and the praise.

We are grateful for the foundation laid before us and thankful for the leadership of our Pastor, Anthony Yelverton, whose obedience and vision continue to encourage us to build with faith, purpose, and expectation.

As we honor 83 years, we move forward trusting that when we build according to God’s will, He will draw who He desires.

To God be the glory—then, now, and forever. 🙏✨

We are grateful to celebrate our first Black History Committee, led by our newly installed Black History Coordinator, Sister Denise. This Black History Month began with a powerful and captivating theme—HOPE—reminding us that our history is not only something we remember, but something that continues to strengthen our faith.

Each Sunday in February, the Black History Committee guided us through scripture and reflection:
• February 1 – “I Am”
• February 8 – “Honor”
• February 15 – “Hope”
• February 22 – “Break Every Chain”

Through these themes, we were encouraged to reflect, to heal, and to stand firm in faith. We are truly blessed to be able to tap into our history while remaining anchored in God’s Word.

We are thankful for the foundation provided by our Rev. Pastor Yelverton, whose leadership continues to allow space for truth, growth, and spiritual grounding.

“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”
— Martin Luther King Jr.

And as scripture reminds us:

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
— Romans 15:13

We thank God for this month of reflection, faith, and remembrance—and for the hope that continues to carry us forward. 🙏✨

Over the past 14 days, many of us committed to a corporate fast—following the assignment given by our pastor through intentional eating, daily scripture, and corporate prayer. This was more than discipline; it was about alignment.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
— Romans 12:2

My prayer and expectation is that as we come out of this fast, we are more aligned, more sensitive, and closer to God than when we began. There is power when we move together in obedience. When we fast, pray, and seek God collectively, we don’t just change ourselves—we help shift the atmosphere around us.

May the fruit of this fast continue to show up in our lives, our church, and the world we touch. 🙏✨

Today’s Reading: Romans 12:1–2
Sermon Topic: Personal Revival | Is Jesus Worth the Sacrifice?

Today’s word challenged us to look inward. Personal revival doesn’t happen by accident—it requires intention, surrender, and sacrifice. In a world that constantly presses us to conform, God calls us to be transformed.

“Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God… Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
— Romans 12:1–2

Revival begins when we choose to lay ourselves on the altar—our habits, our comfort, our distractions, and our desires. Through fasting, prayer, and preparation, we make room for God to move, reset, and restore.

So the question remains: Is Jesus worth the sacrifice?
Worth changing our thinking?
Worth denying our flesh?
Worth trusting Him fully?

Today’s message reminds us that when we say yes to God, revival starts within us first. May this be the season where we recommit, refocus, and allow God to renew our minds and hearts. 🙏🔥

Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Today’s Scripture: 1 Chronicles 28:1–6
Sunday Sermon Topic: You Can’t Work Outside of Your Assignment — You’re Just a Piece of the Puzzle

There is so much noise in today’s world—so many distractions pulling us in every direction—that it’s easy to lose focus on what God has specifically assigned to us. We rush, compare, compete, and overextend ourselves, trying to do everything instead of doing what God called us to do.

In 1 Chronicles 28:1–6, David reminds us that God is intentional. He appoints, He assigns, and He chooses with purpose. Every role matters, but no role stands alone. We are each a piece of the puzzle, designed to fit where God has placed us—not where others are.

Today’s word from our Pastor Anthony Yelverton was a reminder that when we work outside our assignment, we create confusion. But when we stay aligned, focused, and obedient, God brings clarity, order, and completion.

Coming to church on Sundays to receive a word that helps reset your heart, realign your focus, and prepares us for the week ahead. May we slow down, seek God’s direction, and commit to walking fully in our assignment—for His glory and for the good of the whole. 🙏✨

Sharing our 1st Sunday Sermon Reflection | Luke 8:1–2
Focus Verse: Luke 8:2
Topic: “One change can change everything.”
Happy New You.

A single moment can shift a life.
A free meal can move someone from hunger to wholeness.
The right lottery ticket can change circumstances from lack to abundance.
A change of heart can transform malice into love.

What God has placed inside of you must be recognized, nurtured, and transformed by Him.

“And also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities…”
— Luke 8:2

Before healing came, there was bo***ge. Before purpose was revealed, there was struggle. Some spirits go unnoticed, undiscerning—yet God still sees, still heals, still calls.

As we step into this season, let us examine our hearts, renew our minds, and allow God to make the change that alters everything.

Change your life like you do your mind—daily, intentionally, and with faith.
Because transformation begins when we surrender to Him. 🙏✨

As we step into this new year, we pause to reflect on 2025—a year that called us to walk through storms, reroute our paths, grow in ways we didn’t expect, begin new journeys, and deepen our bond with God. It was a year of stretching and surrender. A year where we gained wisdom, but also lost much—people, seasons, plans, and comfort.

Yet through every high and every valley, God carried us.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.”
— Isaiah 43:2

We thank God for His sustaining grace, His covering in moments of grief, and His guiding hand when the way forward was unclear. We stand in gratitude—not because the year was easy, but because He was faithful.

As we move forward, we do so with renewed trust, strengthened faith, and hearts committed to continuing the work God has begun in us.
To God be the glory for bringing us into this new year. 🙏✨

📖 Luke 2:7–11 | Christ Is the Gift of Life

Yesterday we gathered to celebrate the greatest gift of all—Jesus Christ, the gift of life given to the world. 🙏✨
As we shared in fellowship, we were reminded that “today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.”

After service, we went downstairs for our Christmas recital and brunch, featuring wonderful presentations by our Sunday School members. It was a joyful time of fellowship, celebration, and reflection on the true meaning of this season. ❤️🎄

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all who helped make this celebration so special.
Glory to God for the gift of Christ! ✝️✨

Today was truly an amazing day. We celebrated our very own Pastor Anthony W. Yelverton Birthday. Which began with testimony, songs, prayer, and our very own Minister Diamond Clinton-White with the Word from God. A wonderful Mime rendition/dance performance of Gods Words. We then fellowship with one another, breaking bread, laughter, conversation, karaoke but most of all sharing love. Happy Birthday Pastor Yelverton we love you.💕❤️
