In 1884 property was bought and the first church/schoolhouse was built in the town of Brookland; and to this day a United Methodist Church has been part of the community of Brookland, Arkansas. That tradition has continued with Sunday School and Vacation Bible School programs. From our humble beginning, Brookland UMC has been a church that has reached out to the community and its people to not onl
y help meet their spiritual needs, but their physical needs as well. We continue to reach out with our various ministries, such as our food pantry and our UMW. Our mission as a church remains one of reaching the lost for Jesus Christ, and giving aid to those who are hungry, homeless and in need of help.
