What a wonderful day of worship and fellowship at Lake Rayburn United Methodist Church! ❤️🎶

We were delighted to welcome three very special guest singers to worship with us today!

A special thank you to Jennafer Newberry Peery, daughter of Deal and Dickie Newberry, for sharing her extraordinary talent during the offertory with the beautiful “How Great Thou Art.” Jennafer has shared her singing talent on some of the nation’s most celebrated stages, including appearing as Glinda in Wicked on Broadway in New York City. What a blessing to have her worship with us!

We also enjoyed the talents of Keith and Kyle Carlson, twin sons of our choir director, Diane Engle, who shared their music during the Ministry in Music with “I’ll Fly Away.” 🎵

Following the service, we gathered for a delicious fried chicken potluck lunch and some wonderful fellowship. A special thank-you to Tappy Tempio and Fritzi Fralick for setting up for the lunch!

Great worship, great music, great food, wonderful fellowship, and a terrific attendance—it was truly a great day! ❤️

🎶 A Special Sunday at Lake Rayburn UMC! 🎶

Pastor Dan and Fritzi Fralick were honored to present a check for $1,015.00 to Brookeland ISD Principal Brandon Shumake to be used for student school supplies.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Lake Rayburn UMC for your generous support! Your kindness and generosity will help make a difference for students in our community as they begin the school year. 📚✏️❤️

📖 Scriptures were read by Judy Meriwether.

🎶 Ministry in Music was beautifully shared by Diane Engle and Danny Platt.

🙏 Today’s message, “That Sinking Feeling,” was brought by Pastor Dan Gilliam.

And, of course, Sunday wouldn’t be complete without fellowship! We enjoyed some delicious refreshments provided by Donna Platt. Thank you, Donna, for helping make our fellowship time so special! 🧁☕️

We were blessed to worship together and celebrate communion at Lake Rayburn United Methodist Church.
