Countryside Alliance Church - Brodheadsville It’s All About Jesus
In The Alliance, we are Jesus people. You see, “All of Jesus” is not just for us; we’re redeemed for other people.

We say, “All of Jesus,” because we’re after His Lordship, a complete transformation in our lives through His Spirit. Scripture tells us that “the same power that raised Jesus from the grave is at work within us.” If we believe that, then our lives change. We don’t get as distracted by the latest fad or the newest way to do things because our focus is on Jesus and His supremacy—in everything. We say, “All of Jesus,” because we also believe that it’s possible to believe things about Jesus but not surrender our lives to Him. It is only in that full surrender that we resonate with His heartbeat, offering the hope only He can provide to the world’s marginalized and overlooked. That’s why the Alliance family has a 140-some year history of leaning in, together, on Jesus’ big assignment—fulfill His Great Commission. We’re about taking “All of Jesus” to “All the World”—that’s why we take His loving message to our neighbors and the nations and to the nations that have come to our neighborhoods. Our Mission–The Great Commission
Jesus’ last words before His glorious ascension into heaven were given as a commission to His disciples. This Great Commission remains a command—a mandate—to every believer in Jesus Christ. His Great Commission is the call of The Christian and Missionary Alliance. Statement of Faith
What The Alliance believes is foundational in its teachings about God and how He relates to us and how we relate to Him. Based on His written Word, the Bible, we are compelled to serve God and the people of His world. We live and die by these words and believe they bring the only life worth living—one wholly committed to the King Jesus.

I cannot get the video of the women in Massachusetts celebrating legalizing abortion until birth out of my mind. The world celebrating evil. For Christians:

Abortion is the opposite of the Gospel.

The Gospel says:

I love you so much that I will die for you.

Abortion says:

I love myself so much that you must die for me.

At the cross, Jesus laid down His life so that others could live.
The Gospel is the story of the stronger giving Himself for the weaker. It is sacrificial love. It is laying down our rights for the sake of another.

And that is why I cannot celebrate abortion, especially the idea that an unborn child’s life can be ended simply because that life is unwanted, inconvenient, or costly.

Every human life bears the image of God. Every child in the womb has value. And the most vulnerable among us should be protected, not discarded.

But there is something else Christians must say just as loudly:

There is grace at the cross.

For the woman who has had an abortion.
For the man who encouraged one.
For the person carrying guilt or regret.
For every one of us who has sinned and desperately needs mercy.

Jesus did not come for perfect people. He came to save sinners.

So we can stand firmly for the life of the unborn while extending our arms in love to those who are hurting.

Choose life. Defend the vulnerable. Love the mother. Love the child. And never stop pointing people to Jesus.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13
