Time in God’s Word with Pastor Moldenhauer!

What kind of person are you? You might answer that question with a job title, ethnic background, prominent characteristic, or maybe a humorous comment. Genesis 1:27 gives us the true answer, “So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them.” God made us to be like Him. So, what does that mean? Jesus gives us the answer, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34) This song by Zach Williams expresses the struggle to live the way God intended. It is an earnest plea for God to help us grow in our Christian living.

GATHER - GROW - GO (Reverend Ross Henzi)

Our congregation has a vision: Gather. Grow. Go. Three simple words. But they describe something much bigger.

· We gather so that we can encourage one another.

· We gather so that we can strengthen one another.

· We gather so that we can remind one another about Jesus.

Don't underestimate what happens when we gather here in worship. This isn't just another hour in your week. This isn't simply a habit. This isn't simply a tradition. This is God's family gathering around Jesus.

So, come. Come when your faith is strong. Come when your faith is weak. Come when life is good. Come when life is hard. Come when you have answers. Come when you have questions. Come when you are joyful. Come when you are hurting. Come and gather with God's people around Jesus. Because we are not meant to walk this road alone.

And because there is something beautiful about God's people gathering together and saying - Jesus is our Savior. Jesus is our hope. Jesus is our life. And together, as we his people, will: Gather. Grow. Go.

We (a group of Trinity sisters in Christ) invite you to join us in the comments as we continue in our spiritual journey. Each week we will share one of our scripture studies in the hope that you might also find peace and knowledge from our personal studies throughout the chapters of the Bible. Please comment any additional observations or applications that you personally would like to share.

It's one thing to simply read scripture, but when you interact with it, when you learn to slow down and REALLY read it, suddenly words start popping off the page. By SOAPing your verses you are able to dive deeper into God's Word and "see" more than when you just quickly read the verses.

THIS WEEK'S STUDY:
🎚Jeremiah 40:12 - “They all came back to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah at Mizpah, from all the countries where they had been scattered. And they harvested an abundance of w**e and summer fruit.”

🎚Observation
God had promised that those people who believed His coming destruction and surrendered to the Babylonians would be spared and would prosper. As happens with all of God’s promises, it came true.

🎚Application
God keeps all of His promises. When things get challenging, we might question God’s presence or His plan. But we can be confident that even when life doesn’t go our way, God is in control and He does everything for our eternal good.

🎚Prayer
Faithful Father, I trust Your wisdom and goodness in all things. I rest secure knowing You are in control and everything that happens leads me closer to You. Thank You! Amen.

Starting Point Bible Class Begins This Coming Week!

Starting Point: A Great Place to Begin!
What is “Starting Point”? Starting Point is a 12-week basics of the Bible class which Pastor Moldenhauer will teach Tuesday nights from September 8 through November 24. We will meet at 6:00pm in the Trinity Commons. Class will go about 75 minutes. Whether you and your family are new to Trinity, or you have been here awhile, this class is a great Starting Point!
