Come join us for revival! We are excited to see what the Lord has in store! The theme will be “Redeemed”. It will be Friday and Saturday night service (April 10th & 11th), and also that Sunday morning (12th).

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬-‭9‬ ‭

Sarah “Mildred” Creason Andrews received her eternal rest and heavenly home on Saturday, March 28, 2026. She was surrounded by family as she passed peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at New Zion Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held after visitation at 2:00 pm. Bro. Andy Delancy and Larry Creason will officiate the ceremony. Mildred’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers. She will be laid to rest at New Zion Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is coordinating arrangements.

Born November 21,1934 in Harrisville, MS, Mildred was one of 10 children to Sam Creason and Birdie Hedgepeth Creason. She is a graduate of Harrisville High School. She was a faithful member of New Zion Baptist Church and had a love for sewing, quilting and antiques.

Mildred married her childhood sweetheart Joe E Andrews, Sr. on April 4,1953 where they eventually settled on Andrews Road leaving a legacy of a marriage filled with love, trust and respect.
Mildred began her working career as a long-distance operator for Bell South in Jackson, MS. She later worked at Universal in Mendenhall. While at Universal, Mildred became the secretary of the IBEW moving to the administration offices. She then won and proudly served in the office of President for the IBEW. Mildred served as the office manager for Andrews Appliance Service for 6 years. Her final career move was as a tax preparer where she served her many clients for over 20 years. During this time, Mildred was instrumental in organizing the New Zion Neighborhood Watch.

Mildred was a precious wife, mother and friend. She loved her family and took great pride in each of them, especially the grandchildren. You would often witness that pride as she would regale in their accomplishments.

Mildred is preceded in death by her mother, Birdie Hedgepeth Creason; father, Sam Creason, six brothers, and three sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Joe E. Andrews, Sr.; daughter, Angela Andrews; sons, Joe E. Andrews, Jr. (Sue); David Andrews (Darlenia); Mark Andrews (Helen); 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
