No matter what season you’re in, keep running to God. 🙌

When life is good, thank Him. When life is hard, lean on Him. When you don’t know what to do next, turn to Him.

Because the season you’re in right now isn’t the end of your story.

For a season, Peter went back to fishing after denying Jesus.

The next season, he was boldly preaching to thousands.

For a season, Paul sat in prison for following God.

But even from prison, his letters encouraged and strengthened the Church—and still do today.

For a season, Lazarus was buried behind a stone.

Then Jesus called him back to life.

God is able to turn around the very thing that feels final.

So if this season feels heavy, don’t assume God is finished yet.

Keep running to Him. Keep trusting Him. Keep standing on His Word.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
—Psalm 46:1, KJV

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
—Romans 8:28, KJV

Whatever season you’re in, God is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all you ask or think!🤍

In Jesus, we have POWER over sin.

Temptation is your opportunity to put sin in its place—UNDER YOUR FEET.

The enemy wants you to think that because you feel the pull, you have no choice but to give in.

But temptation is NOT sin. And through Jesus Christ, you have POWER OVER SIN.

Jesus was “in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” —Hebrews 4:15, KJV

And you are IN HIM.

You have more than an example to admire. You have a new life, a new nature, and the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling IN YOU.

“…God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
—1 Corinthians 10:13, KJV

God has provided a way out. But you have to TAKE IT.

And we’re not only talking about the obvious sins everybody recognizes.

There’s the temptation to doubt what God said. To follow your own way when He’s already shown you His.

You are a NEW CREATION in Christ. —2 Corinthians 5:17
You are COMPLETE in Him. —Colossians 2:10
You are blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing in Christ. —Ephesians 1:3
You are a joint-heir WITH Christ. —Romans 8:17

Your inheritance in Christ has something to say about how you live TODAY.

“For sin shall not have dominion over you…” —Romans 6:14, KJV

So when temptation comes, remember who you are and what you’ve received IN HIM.

Submit to God. Resist the devil. Stand on the Word. Choose obedience even when your flesh wants something else.

**The temptation may come. Your answer can still be NO. The same power Jesus had to remain sinless, YOU HAVE. **

You don’t have to settle for a lukewarm walk with God.

You can love Him wholeheartedly. You can be hungry for His Word, sensitive to His Spirit, and ready to obey—even when your flesh doesn’t feel like it.

“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.”
—Romans 12:11, KJV

But that fire needs more than a moment at the altar. It needs a daily life of fellowship with Him.

Open your Bible with a heart ready to receive.
Make time to pray.
Act on what He shows you.
Let go of what keeps pulling your heart away.

And when He corrects you, respond. Don’t defend the very thing He’s helping you get free from.

Jesus told the lukewarm church:

“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.”
—Revelation 3:19, KJV

He loves you enough to call you out of complacency and into deeper fellowship with Him.

You don’t have to wait until you FEEL on fire to respond. Give Him your yes today. Then put action to it.

“Lord, show me where I’ve grown comfortable with compromise. I receive Your correction. I’m ready to obey You and give You my whole heart.”

Be zealous. Repent. Draw near. There is more of Him to know. 🔥

3 things to know BEFORE you ask God for anything!

Understanding these three things will help you approach prayer with confidence and EXPECTATION!

1️⃣ Have something to stand on!

Before you ask God for anything, you need a foundation for your faith. You need a Word from God!

It may be something He has spoken to your heart by His Spirit or shown you in His written Word.

Either way, you need to know what God has said concerning the situation. You can’t have faith for something if you don’t know what God has said about it!

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” —Romans 10:17, NKJV

2️⃣ Know WHO you are and the authority you have in Christ!

You’re His child! You’re IN CHRIST! Because of what Jesus accomplished, you have access to the Father!

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” —Hebrews 4:16, NKJV

Come BOLDLY! Not because of who you are in yourself, but because of who you are IN HIM!

3️⃣ Ask the FATHER in the NAME OF JESUS!

Jesus gave us specific instructions about prayer!

“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.” —John 16:23, NKJV

And look at the very next verse!

“Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” —John 16:24, NKJV

Did you catch that?!

Jesus told us to ask the FATHER in HIS NAME, connecting answered prayer with our JOY BEING FULL!

The Name of Jesus isn’t just something we tack onto our prayers. We approach the Father on the basis of who Jesus is and what He accomplished for us!

God wants His children to come confidently, knowing His Word, their position in Christ, and the authority of the Name of Jesus!

In Christ, we have __________.

Fill in the blank. What do you need?

Healing? Provision? Wisdom? Peace? Strength?

When Moses asked God His name, God said:

“I AM THAT I AM.”
—Exodus 3:14, KJV

His identity does not change with your circumstances. He is still God when the need is bigger than your resources, when you don’t have the answer, and when you can’t see how it will work out.

And look at what the Word says about Jesus:

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him…”
—Colossians 2:9–10, KJV

Complete IN HIM. Not in your bank account. Not in your own strength. Not in your ability to figure everything out.

🤍 When your body needs healing, look to what Jesus bore for you. “With his stripes we are healed.” —Isaiah 53:5

🤍 When your finances are stretched, remember where your supply comes from. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” —Philippians 4:19

🤍 When you don’t know what to do, ask Him for wisdom. He gives generously. —James 1:5

🤍 When fear presses in, bring your cares to Him. His peace can guard your heart and mind before the circumstances change. —Philippians 4:6–7

Whatever the need, it has not caught Him unprepared.

But we must move beyond knowing these verses to believing them and acting on them. Bring that need to Him. Find what His Word says. Agree with it in your speech, and follow His direction.

Faith does not pretend the need isn’t real. Faith takes God’s Word seriously in the middle of it.

You have a need—but you also have a Savior.

And in Him, you are complete. 🤍

“The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
—Zephaniah 3:17, KJV

Religion has often painted our Father as stoic and hard. No emotion. Just sitting on His throne, handing out judgments and waiting for us to mess up.

But read that verse again.

He rejoices over His people. He sings over them!

The Hebrew word translated “joy” in that last phrase is giyl. Strong’s describes it as “to spin round” under the influence of “violent emotion.”

Think overwhelming JOY. Deep, passionate delight that moves!

That spinning imagery makes me picture the intensity of a whirlwind—what a different picture of our Father than the cold, distant one so many have been given.

He is zealous and passionate toward His children. He desires our hearts. He delights in us.

And His everlasting love isn’t shaken every time we mess up.

Yes, He corrects us. Yes, He calls us to repent and walk in His ways. But even His correction comes from a Father who loves His children.

You don’t have to convince Him to care about you.

The Father who knows you completely loves you deeply.

Let THAT shape how you come to Him today. 🤍

You’re focused on what needs to change AROUND you.
God is looking at what’s happening INSIDE you.

The sickness. The wayward son or daughter. The credit card debt. The broken-down vehicle. The relationship issue.

You come to God thinking about those circumstances—and maybe what other people think about your life.

But God sees past all of that.

“…man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”
—1 Samuel 16:7, KJV

He doesn’t measure your success by whether you’ve received your healing yet, have the big house, drive the nice car, or have perfectly behaved kids.

Outside circumstances are a result of what’s going on on the inside. Allow God to change the inside, and you will see the outside change as well.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
—3 John 1:2, KJV

Even as thy soul prospereth.

God cares about your life. And as you fellowship with Him and spend time in His Word, He’s going to start on the inside.

Your mentality.
Your attitudes and motives
What you truly believe.
How you speak.

The change He makes IN you begins showing up around you.

“…be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
—Romans 12:2, KJV

Notice where transformation starts: the renewing of your mind.

You don’t have to force it. Sit down with His Word. Open your heart and mind. The power to change you is in the Word of God.

Receive what He shows you. Believe it. Put it into practice.

As His Word changes the way you think, it changes the life you experience. What He’s doing on the inside naturally begins showing up on the outside.

A renewed mind on the inside is the key to walking in victory on the outside.
