Bring Your Backpack for a Blessing!

Join us for our annual Blessing of the Backpacks on Sunday, August 30th at 10:00am as we pray for students, teachers, school staff, and all who are beginning a new school year. Bring your backpack, briefcase, or work bag as we ask God's blessing for a year filled with learning, growth, and grace. Everyone is welcome!

Another day of learning and serving for the youth from CtK in San Diego. They began the day with a presentation by Pastor Manuel from St. Andrew's Lutheran church about Chicano Park and then took a field trip to see the park firsthand. In the afternoon, they prepared and served food at PATH, a housing program for those recovering from homelessness in the area. They ended the night with an ice cream treat - a perfect ending to another amazing day!

Along with participating in a cool outdoor worship service, the group was privileged to serve with two organizations in San Diego yesterday. They began the day working with Sharia's Closet sorting and preparing clothing that will be given away. In the afternoon, the team worked with Feeding San Diego and prepared 420 boxes of food containing 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches for kids experiencing food insecurity during the summer. What a blessing it is to serve others!

Join us in congratulating our 2026 high school graduates!

Gracious God,
We thank you for guiding these graduates through years of learning, growth, and discovery. As they step into new opportunities, remind them that their worth is found not in achievements alone, but in Your endless grace and love through Jesus Christ.

Give them courage to serve others, wisdom to seek truth, and faith to trust You in every season of life. Bless their paths ahead, and let them be lights in the world, sharing hope, kindness, and compassion wherever they go.
