It seems like there may be a shifting of things…

It used to be that Christians would come across as lazy… uncreative… entitled…

“Why would I work harder? Jesus supplies every need.”

“The only thing that matters is the spiritual. The only value of my career is evangelism.”

“Unless the message of my creative work is explicitly spiritual, it doesn’t really have value.”

I’ve felt if not heard these and many other arguments in western culture often, and I believe it’s time for a change in perspective.

What if we work as though what we do on earth builds a Kingdom in which Jesus comes to rule- here and now?

What if we viewed the first command to “fill the earth and rule it” as an ongoing commission rather than something that happened then and passed away with the coming of Christ?

What if we treated every relationship with Kingdom values, regardless of whether they end up joining us or not?

- Why did He create us?
- What actually happens when we sin?
- What is His plan for today- or His plan for 100 or maybe 1,000 years from now?
