This week we brought 9 people into the church, welcomed two new men as catechumens, participated in the Great Vespers of Pentecost, and remembered Fr. David (and his family’s) 20 year “birthday” of coming into the church. Glory to Christ!

Join us for the Great Vespers of Pentecost this Sunday, immediately following Divine Liturgy. Glory to Christ!

Christ is risen!

Today marks the Leavetaking of Pascha, and the last time we will greet each other with our paschal greeting until next year.

To remember our celebration, we are sharing more photos from Pascha! Thank you again to Nick Masser for the Paschal feast pictures.

The work on our new temple continues at a steady pace. We are continuing to pray, fund raise, and build. Our dome should be completed this week!

Pictured here is the beautiful craftsmanship of the dome against the wonderful backdrop of the Montana landscape.

“Let us go with lamps in hand to meet Christ who comes from the tomb like a bridegroom. And with the festive ranks of angels, let us celebrate the saving Pascha of God.”

“Let us arise at the rising of the sun and bring to the Master a hymn instead of myrrh, and we shall see Christ, the Sun of righteousness, who causes life to dawn for all.

Christ is risen from the dead!

The souls bound in the chains of hell, O Christ, seeing thy compassion without measure, pressed onward to the light with joyful steps, praising the eternal Pascha.

Let us go with lamps in hand to meet Christ who comes from the tomb like a bridegroom. And with the festive ranks of angels let us celebrate the saving Pascha of God.” Canon of Pascha, Ode 5

Thank you to Nick Masser for collaborating on some of these photos!

As we await the Glorious Resurrection of Christ, we welcome 17 new members home. We know with Christ’s coming, He brings new life. For each of these new Orthodox Christians, the resurrection is already a reality: passing from death to life! The tomb is no longer the end, though we keep watch at it for now.

Pascha is ahead! Join us tonight at 11:30 pm!
