Sunday Recap ❤️

What a wonderful day of worship and growth together at church!

This Sunday, Pastor Micah continued our The Vitals of a Disciple sermon series with Week 2: “The Love That Transforms.” Preaching from 1 John 4:16–19, he reminded us that God’s love is not just something we receive—it is something that changes us from the inside out.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this Sunday. We pray that the truth of God’s transforming love continues to guide and encourage you throughout the week!

Join us live at BG First Church for Week 2 of The Vitals of a Disciple. This Sunday we ask an important question: “How is your heart toward God?”
Pastor Micah looks at 1 John 4:16–19 and how gratitude and remembrance help keep our relationship with God healthy and alive. When we remember God’s faithfulness, our hearts stay close to Him.

Men—this summer is about growth, not coasting.

We’re walking through 5 Focuses of Godly Men:

1. Know the Truth
2. Draw Close 👈🏻👈🏻
3. Initiate
4. Demonstrate
5. Use Your Voice

Each month, we’ll take one focus and actually live it out.

No fluff. Just real men, real conversations, and real growth.

What a full and meaningful Sunday together! ❤️

Pastor Micah kicked off our new sermon series, The Vitals of a Disciple, with a message from Philippians 2:12-13. He reminded us that when our faith starts to feel more like a chore than our core, God invites us back into a closer relationship with Him.

This Sunday was also a special time of celebration and appreciation. We honored our graduates and prayed over them as they step into new seasons ahead. We are so proud of each of you and excited to see how God continues to lead your paths! 🎓

We also celebrated and thanked Amanda for her faithful dedication to our children and families as she finished her time serving as our Children’s Pastor. Her love, care, and investment into the next generation have made such a lasting impact, and we are incredibly grateful for all she has done. Following the service, we enjoyed a luncheon together to honor and celebrate her ministry.

Thank you to everyone who made this Sunday so special. We love our church family and can’t wait to worship together again next week!

Gratitude changes the atmosphere of a home.

Not the big, perfect moments…
but the small ones we choose to notice.

The laugh at the dinner table.
A quiet moment together.
A simple “thank you” that actually means something.

Those moments shape families more than we realize.

👇 We want to hear from you:
What moments of gratitude are making a difference in your home right now?

Let’s build each other up by sharing what God is doing in the everyday.

Somewhere in many of our stories was a mother or mother figure who kept saying “yes” to God.
A legacy is more than memories.
It’s a trail of prayer.
A trail of sacrifice.
A trail of devotion.
A trail that leads people to Jesus.
This Sunday we honored the women whose faithfulness shaped generations.
Take a moment today to thank God for the women who prayed, endured, sacrificed, and pointed you toward Christ.

What a special Sunday as we celebrated Mother’s Day together!

Pastor Micah preached from Luke 1:38 and reminded us of Mary’s willingness to step into God’s plan, even when she didn’t know exactly what the future would hold. Her response—“I am the Lord’s servant”—is a powerful example of trust, surrender, and faith for all of us.

Just like Mary, we may not always see the full picture, but God calls us to trust Him one step at a time. Following Him often means saying yes before we know all the details.

We’re thankful for all the mothers and mother figures who model faith, courage, and love in so many ways. Thank you for celebrating with us this Sunday!

Today’s message, A Mother’s Legacy, looks at Luke 1:38 and Mary’s incredible declaration: “I am the Lord’s servant.”
Mary’s willingness to trust and obey God became a legacy that changed the world. Join us as we celebrate the impact of faithful mothers and learn how our surrender to God can influence generations to come.
Invite someone to watch with you and join the conversation in the comments! 💛
