Thankful for a God who gave us sunshine, Church family, and plenty of opportunities to make memories… even when the sunshine feels like it was sent straight from the fiery furnace. 😂☀️ We’ll take the heat, the laughter, and every moment to live life together!

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: PASTOR FAYE! ✨

There are some people who simply embody the love of Jesus, and Pastor Faye is exactly that to our community. 🤍

As the mother of Near Church and the leader of Near Kids, Pastor Faye pours absolutely everything into the next generation. Whether she’s serving with our littlest babies or our oldest kids, her mission is the same: ensuring that every single child who walks through our doors knows exactly how loved and cherished they are by God. 👑✨

She truly exemplifies what it means to live like Christ. She is generous, warm, fiercely loving, and the very first to lift someone up in prayer. Pastor Faye doesn’t just love our Near Kids; she walks alongside and pours into their parents, too. Every word she speaks and every action she performs is a reflection of the Gospel.

Near Kids simply would not be the same without her leadership, her servant’s heart, and her beautiful spirit. We love you so much, Pastor Faye!

Sunday with our Near Kids was full of big questions and even bigger truths. 🤍 We walked through Acts 6–7 and talked about a hard reality: Jesus never promised a life free of suffering, but He did promise that He’s already overcome it all. No matter what our kids (or we!) face, His peace is always ours to hold onto.

Family Challenge: Sometime this weekend or next week—maybe at dinner or on the drive to school—ask your kids: What’s one thing making you feel anxious or overwhelmed right now, and how can we pray for Jesus’ peace over it together?

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: GRACE AND COOPER! ✨

Some duos just make the dream work, and Grace and Cooper are the perfect example! 🌟✨

Together, they serve in our Dreamers and Heroes classrooms, pouring so much love into our littlest Near Church kiddos. But their heart for service doesn’t stop there—these two are involved in almost every corner of our house!

Grace lifts us up on the worship team, cooks delicious meals for our Near Kiddos and VIP ministry, and is often the creative eye behind the camera, capturing powerful moments during our Encounters. 📸🎤 Meanwhile, Cooper serves on our production team, working hard behind the scenes to ensure all of our sound and visuals run smoothly every single service. He’s also our resident handyman.

Both Grace and Cooper are incredibly loving, selfless, kind, and generous. They don’t just fill roles; they pour their whole hearts into serving God’s house and His people.

Life can be stressful, but our joy doesn’t come from our circumstances—it comes from God!

This week in Legends, we looked at 2 Samuel 6 and learned about King David dancing unashamedly for joy before the Lord.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: SARAH! ✨

Volunteers like Sarah make our church feel like home. 🤍

If you’ve ever walked through our doors, chances are you’ve been blessed by Sarah. From welcoming first-time guests at the Connections Table to leading us in worship, she truly does it all with an incredibly selfless, kind, and generous heart.

But if you ask our Near Kids, they know her best as the one and only “Rah Rah”! 🥰 Sarah pours her whole heart into teaching our kiddos and jumping right in to worship alongside them during praise time. She is a beautiful, living example of what it means to love and praise the Lord. Whether she is teaching a lesson, lending a helping hand, or stopping to pray with someone at the altar, she does it all with pure joy.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: MARIA! ✨

Volunteers like Maria bring so much joy and warmth to our church family!

If you peer into our Dreamers and Heroes classroom, you’ll find Maria pouring love into our littlest Near Kids—and it’s no secret that they absolutely adore her! But her ministry doesn’t stop there. Maria also frequently serves as our breakfast chef, cooking up the absolute best meals that our kiddos look forward to. 🍳💛

Maria is the definition of generous, faithful, and warm. She has a smile that lights up the whole room, and she gives the absolute best hugs. Her deep love for the Lord, our church, and our kids shines through everything she does.
