Negative self-talk has a way of sounding true.

“I’m not good enough.”
“I’m not strong enough.”
“My past is unforgivable.”
“I’m alone.”

But what if the voice in your head isn’t telling you the truth?

God’s Word reminds us that our identity is not found in our fears, failures, weaknesses, or insecurities. It is found in Him. When our thoughts pull us toward shame, doubt, and hopelessness, Scripture pulls us back to truth.

Swipe through and replace the lies with God’s promises. ➡️

Many Christians have wrestled with this question at some point in their walk with Christ: “Am I really saved?”

The good news is that God does not want His children to live in constant fear or uncertainty. Our assurance is not found in having perfect feelings, perfect obedience, or a perfect understanding of every doctrine. Our assurance is found in a perfect Savior.

Scripture points us again and again to Christ. Have you placed your faith in Jesus alone for the forgiveness of your sins? Do you see evidence of His ongoing work in your life? Do you sense the Spirit drawing you toward God, convicting you of sin, and reminding you that you belong to Him?

When doubts come, do not look inward first. Look to Christ. Look to His promises. Look to His finished work on the cross. God’s Word is more trustworthy than our changing emotions.

If your hope is in Jesus, you can rest in the promise that He holds fast to those who belong to Him.

“Whoever comes to me I will never cast out.” — John 6:37

Mother’s Day can hold so many different emotions. For some, it is filled with joy and celebration. For others, it carries grief, longing, exhaustion, waiting, or remembrance. Today we want to honor the women who have loved faithfully in every season.

To the mothers raising babies and the mothers releasing grown children, to the women praying for a child, to the spiritual mothers who have nurtured others in faith, to the foster moms, adoptive moms, grandmothers, grieving mothers, and those carrying stories no one else can see, we see you and we thank God for you.

Your love reflects the heart of God in more ways than you may realize. The quiet sacrifices, the prayers whispered late at night, the steady presence, the patience, the compassion, and the strength all matter deeply.

Today we celebrate you and pray that you would know how deeply loved and valued you are by both your church family and your Heavenly Father. Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Flourishing Grace. 🤍Why church?

Why church?

It is easy to think of church as a place we go, something we attend, or a set of ministries we participate in. But if that is all it is, then faith turns into a checklist. Do more. Try harder. Be better.

That is not the invitation of Jesus.

Jesus calls us to himself. He meets us where we are, not where we think we need to be. He promises to transform us, not because we earn it, but because of who he is. And he gives us a purpose. As we follow him, we invite others to follow him too.

The church is not a building or a program. The church is people who have been called, changed, and sent by Jesus.

This week, take a moment to ask God who he has placed around you. Who can you love, serve, and invite toward Jesus right where you are?

Join us next Sunday at 9 or 11am.
