This Saturday (April 18th), Gospel Light Church will be out and about meeting our neighbors—we’d love to connect with you and hear your story.

We’ll also be going door-to-door offering FREE yard work and sharing a small gift. If you see us around, don’t hesitate to stop and say hi—we’d truly love to meet you!

Gospel Light Food Box Giveaway

With the economic challenges many are currently facing, our church wanted to come alongside our community by providing 150 food boxes this Saturday. Each box will be filled with a variety of canned goods and pantry staples to help restock your home.

When: Saturday, April 18th
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (or until boxes run out)
Where: 1175 W 600 N
➡️ Please use the entrance off 1200 W due to construction

No sign-up needed—just come by! We’ll continue distributing as long as supplies last.

Help us spread the word so these boxes can bless as many families as possible.

A month ago, our church family marked a significant milestone as we entered the 75th year of Gospel Light Church. What began on November 12, 1950, with seventeen charter members gathering in the basement of Ira and Gracie Marks, has grown into a multigenerational community shaped by God’s faithfulness.

From the construction of the first sanctuary on 1175 West 600 North to the many seasons of ministry that followed, the church has continued to proclaim the gospel and serve the Rose Park community with steadfast devotion. Through each chapter and name change, the heart of this congregation has remained the same: to honor Christ and make His light known.

As we reflect on seventy-five years of God’s work in and through this church, we give thanks for the generations who built this foundation and look forward with hope to all that He will continue to do in the years ahead.

We are grateful to share that, after much prayer, discernment, and congregational affirmation, Nic Higgins has been ordained and welcomed as a pastor at Gospel Light Church.

Over the past several months, Pastor Dave and Pastor Luke have walked closely with Nic and Amanda through the pastoral candidacy process—seeking to understand their hearts, their character, their theology, and their devotion to Christ. Throughout this journey, their humility, faithfulness, and love for the Lord have been evident.

Please join us in celebrating this joyful moment and in praying for Pastor Nic as he steps into this role to serve, shepherd, and lead our church family.

Interested in gospel ministry in Utah? Join Plant for the Gospel for our annual Vision Trip on October 1–5, 2025. Participants will be introduced to Latter-day Saint culture and doctrine while visiting church plants in Salt Lake City, Rose Park, Riverton, Logan, and our newest church plant, Gospel Fellowship Church in Saratoga Springs.

Plant for the Gospel serves the Gospel Family of Churches—Gospel Grace, Gospel Hope, Gospel Peace, Gospel Light, and Gospel Fellowship.
