Baptism Sunday at BVBC!

What a joy it is to celebrate the Lord’s work in the lives of His people! Baptism is a beautiful picture of the Gospel—buried with Christ and raised to walk in newness of life.

God is at work in Boulder, and we are grateful to have a front-row seat. 🙌

“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death… so we too might walk in newness of life.” — Romans 6:4

Luke’s message yesterday challenged us with a searching question: How do we resist the Holy Spirit?

Looking at Stephen’s words in Acts, we were reminded that resisting the Spirit is not always loud or obvious. It can happen when we continually harden our hearts to God’s Word, refuse His correction, cling to our own way, or hear the truth without responding in faith and obedience.

But the message did not leave us focused on our failure. Luke also reminded us of the goodness of the gospel. The good news is that Jesus came for sinners. He lived the life we could not live, died the death we deserved, rose again in victory, and offers forgiveness and new life to everyone who turns to Him in faith.

The challenge for us is simple but important: Are we resisting what God is saying to us, or are we responding to Him?

The gospel invites us to stop defending ourselves, stop running from God, and trust the One who has already done everything necessary to save us.

Don’t resist the Spirit. Receive the grace of Christ, respond to His Word, and walk in the new life He has given you.
