✝️ HOLY FAMILY — AS THEY ENTERED THE BLESSED LAND OF EGYPT ✝️

On June 1st, Coptic Christians around the world celebrate the journey of the Holy Family into Egypt.

Egypt holds a unique place in Christian history. It is the only country outside the Holy Land that was blessed by the physical presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, together with the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph.

As they fled from the persecution of Herod, the Holy Family found refuge in Egypt, fulfilling the prophecy:

“Blessed is Egypt My people.”— Isaiah 19:25

Their journey sanctified the land of Egypt and left a spiritual heritage that continues to inspire generations of believers throughout the world.

Today, we give thanks for this blessing and celebrate the faith, heritage, and apostolic tradition that has been preserved through the Coptic Orthodox Church.

May the prayers of the Holy Family be with us all.

A blessed and historic gathering on the new land of Virgin Mary & Saint Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Boise, Idaho, during the Reception of the Relics of Saint Mark the Evangelist and the first prayer held on this land.

This special occasion brought together clergy, families, and members of the congregation in a moment of prayer, unity, and thanksgiving as we continue the journey toward establishing the first Coptic Orthodox Church in Idaho. While not everyone was present in this photo, it beautifully represents nearly every family that took part in this memorable and blessed day.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Abona Mina Salama for traveling from Seattle to share in this joyful celebration and to all who joined us, prayed with us, and supported this mission with love and faith.

Through the prayers and blessings of Saint Mark the Apostle and Evangelist, may God continue to guide this church, bless this land, and establish His house in Idaho for generations to come.
