a bittersweet night full of gratitude, fun & thanksgiving.🙏🏼

these kids have loved having Taylor as a Student Pastor & they made his last gathering of gratitude a night to remember!🤍

we played games, had a dance party, indulged in Taylor’s favorite foods & a few even participated in arm wrestling matches.😆

we wish you the best of luck on your new adventures in life & pray for God to continue to bless you in all your days!🙂

you’ve been so good & faithful to this ministry & to these kids, your true & heartfelt leadership has impacted many & won’t be forgotten💛

If you didn’t get a chance to meet up with us tonight, you still have the opportunity to join us Sunday, May 10th during 1st service for a farewell breakfast, we would love to see you there during Taylor’s last day as Student Pastor!😊

‼️IMPORTANT MESSAGE‼️

Youth volunteers are working vigilantly to get things in order & for those wondering CIY is still a go for the summer! (YAY!!)

We would love for parents to let Kayli or Cassie know by May 13th if your student is attending & for their deposit to be turned in by May 17th so that we can officially secure our spots for the trips!

If you have questions or need financial assistance you can contact Kayli or Cassie in regards to our summer CIY trips or any other things Student Ministry related, thank you!

Taylor’s last message correlated with what this ministry is all about — to know God, find freedom in God, discover your purpose through God & make a difference in our world with God.

Our mission statement isn’t just something we say, it’s what we live by & what we want to teach our students to live by in their lives as well.

We are left with the encouragement of the statement he made — “be a student on a mission for Christ” & what a powerful statement that is.

In Acts 1:8 Jesus says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” — WE are God’s witnesses, we see His unwavering hope that flows through us, when that is spread through the world & seen through us every day, it brings more & more people into the righteous & beautiful Kingdom of God!

Our ministry has been blessed in this season with all of the student leaders & we are excited for the next things to come, but one thing that always rings true is God & His love for us — we are praying over that & for our students in this season & through the ones to come. Also, for Taylor & his next season he’s going into. God’s plans are bigger than we can comprehend, but they are so, SO good! 🤍

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

‼️UPDATE‼️
Due to Mother’s Day, we’ve decided to have a meeting during first service over in the Student Center, breakfast provided! NO Youth Group Meeting in the evening!

As many of you know, we are in our last weeks of having Taylor with us in his role as Student Pastor.

His last day will be Sunday, May 10th — SO, here are our meeting dates up until then, we will be working cordially & efficiently to keep you up to date on the days & weeks following his step-down from leadership!

If you have any questions about any of these events or the ministry please reach out & we would love to help accommodate you in any means necessary!

in a loud, fast-paced, continuously evolving world, it can sometimes be challenging to take time to sit in the quiet.

1 Kings 19:11-12 shows us through Elijah, that God will meet us in the middle of the chaos with His gentle love.

“Then he said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the Lord’s presence.” At that moment, the Lord passed by. A great & mighty wind was tearing at the mountains & was shattering cliffs before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was a voice, a soft whisper.”

loud storms & horrendous acts were rolling through, but God came to him after it all with a soft whisper.

this life will not be perfect & sometimes we might not even seek God until we’re at our breaking point. BUT GOD — He will be there to pick you up & restore your life & that is hope that’s worth fighting for.

Yesterday at our Sunday Night Youth Group our Youth Leaders decided to share their testimony with the kids & we decided to share a song that represented our testimony.

All of our life stories leading up to Jesus were different, but one thing they had in common was the beauty, glory & dedication to our lives God really does!

These are the songs that each leader presented after they shared their testimony, we encourage everyone to share their testimony when they feel led to by the Holy Spirit, it shows vulnerability & opens up sweet conversations about the Lord & it might just open someone else’s eyes into the peace, love & hope God truly has to offer in this life & in eternity🤍
