First Baptist church, organized in 1849, existed and continues to exist solely for the glory of God. In the past 172 years there have been a multitude of people who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and grew in the things of God. We endeavor to Glorify God in every aspect of our lives. We effort to Grow in the Word of God by offering & participating in sound doctrinal Bible Study. We encourage one another by Gathering Together for weekly services, Bible study, & Christian fellowship. We equip all to intentionally share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ’s death, burial, resurrection, and imminent return.

Church Picnic: 4:30 pm (Food served at 5:30 pm at McGowen)

Pastor Matt has accepted a new calling as the counseling and discipleship pastor at Lakeside Fellowship in Polk City, Iowa. We invite everyone to come together for worship and fellowship as we send them off with our love and prayers.

I highly recommend attending morning worship at 10:30 am this Sunday, August 9th. Tim Capon, our IARBC retired state representative, will be speaking. We are thankful for God's sovereign and providential hand in having him here on Sunday. No Evening Service.
