Tucked away in the middle of Southside Virginia, Blackstone Presbyterian Church is the largest Presbyterian Church in our area but still a small church in a small town. Grounded in our Reformed history, we are looking with hope into tomorrow with our Lord and Savior. Our inter-generational congregation is one to share. Due to a malfunctioning heating system, we will not be able to have the service of Lessons and Carols tonight at Old Brick Church. The service has been re-located to Blackstone Presbyterian Church at 301 Church Street, Blackstone. We will start at 7:30 pm, and we look forward to seeing you tonight, December 10th, at the Blackstone Church. Everyone is welcome to attend.

A memorial service for Robert W. Buntin will be held at the Blackstone Presbyterian Church tomorrow, Friday December 5, at 11 am, followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery and a reception in the church fellowship hall.

Blackstone Presbyterian Church served again this year as the drop off point for Operation Christmas Child. Thanks to the generosity of Antioch Community Church, Belfast Baptist, Kenbridge Baptist, Blackstone Baptist, Highway 47 Bible Study Group, Jonesboro Baptist, Restoration Ministries, Grace United Methodist, Wards Chapel, Phenix United Methodist, Mt. Carmel United Methodist, Kenston Forest School, Crewe Methodist, Crewe Baptist, New Bethel Community Church, Pryor Memorial Presbyterian, Nottoway Baptist, St. Paul/St. Andrews Episcopal, New Hope Christian, Crenshaw Methodist, and Blackstone Presbyterian Church, 1,674 gift-and love-filled boxes are going out this Christmas to children around the world. Thanks also go to Blackstone Presbyterian volunteers Martha and David Reed, Paul Carter, and Joy Cunningham. An amazing show of love from Southside Virginia to the world.
