In Stake Conference last Sunday, President Dan Robinson spoke about choosing the right. He taught that choosing the right is more than just a slogan—it’s a path of discipleship that we choose in our everyday lives.
Some of the principles he taught included:
• Choosing the right may mean standing alone sometimes. The Savior made it possible that we don’t have to stand alone in this life.
• The Savior allows us to choose, but He lovingly teaches us that our choices have consequences.
• We should make a valiant effort to listen to the Spirit as it teaches us each day.
• We can have integrity even when no one is watching.
• The Savior offers us peace. In the scriptures He says in John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”.
• When you choose the right once, it becomes easier to choose it again.
• Choosing the right requires courage.
• Ultimately, choosing the right is really choosing Jesus Christ.
• Daily discipleship creates spiritual resilience.
• Choosing the right still matters.
• Happiness comes through faithful discipleship.
We are grateful for President Robinson’s message and testimony of Jesus Christ. As we choose Him each day, the Savior will provide us with the courage, peace, and strength we need along our path of discipleship.
