PRAYERS OF REVERENCE: In the days of his flesh, Jesus[a] offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. Hebrews 5:7-8 ESV
During the days of Jesus on this earth, He was in the Flesh, yet he knew how to go to the Father in prayer with reverence. He was just as vulnerable as we are, yet he approached the throne of the Father with humility. He had connection to human struggles. When we approach the throne of grace it must be with humility and reverence and respect. Jesus offered prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears to God, who had the power to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverent submission and piety.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father in heaven, help us to come to you with respect when we pray and with humility. Help us to remember our position in relation to Yours. Forgive us for any disrespectfulness in prayer and any irreverent. Amen - Minister Dellavon McCurdy

FAITH TRIUMPHS IN TROUBLE: Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! ROMANS 5:1-9 Minister Dellavon McCurdy

UNTOWARD GENERATION: And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Acts 2:40
Peter's message resonates with believers today, encouraging them to live in a manner that reflects their faith and to actively seek to separate themselves from the moral decay of the surrounding culture. We are living in a world full of corruption and we are to seek out our own salvation. Every man must examine himself and is not responsible for the next person. This world will not get any better. Jesus even explained to the people of that day that we will be living in a corrupt society. We should not be surprised of the things that plaques this world. Just keep your faith rooted and ground in Jesus.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY: Heavenly Father we come asking you for direction in the path of righteousness and help your children to escape from crooked and perverse ways and to walk humbly with you Lord seeking the path of righteousness. Amen. Minister Dellavon McCurdy

FIX YOUR EYES ON ETERNITY: While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.2 Corinthians 4:18
This verse urges a deliberate shift of focus—from the passing and painful to the permanent and glorious. By fixing our eyes on the unseen realities of Christ’s kingdom, we gain courage for today’s trials and confidence in tomorrow’s resurrection glory.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Our Lord and Savior help us to focus on your eternal kingdom for one day this world will soon pass away. Keep our eyes focus on deep spiritual matters in Jesus' name Amen. Minister Dellavon McCurdy

JESUS HE RESCUED US: For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14
There is no one who can pull us from the pit better than the Lord. So no matter where you are right now or where you're headed, grab on to the Savior. He's your greatest hope and worthy of your trust. This is one of the kindest blessings we can receive from God is being rescued from the dead-end alleys and dark dungeons.
